Advantages: Nathan is a bit of a hottie! Disadvantages: But the film is a bit of a grottie!
's T-shirt being peeled off a wound, to reveal bare muscle and ribs underneath. It'll put you off Chinese takeaway for life.
Stink of Flesh (great title, actually) is a grim little movie that Grandma would NOT like. It is, however, so outlandishly horrible that you do rather have to see it to believe it. I came close to switching it off several times, not because I found it offensive, but purely because it was just so silly. But, just as I hovered over the stop button, either something bizarre would happen or Nathan would appear again (drool!) and I was once again inspired to stick with it.
I shan't recommend it, however, because when it comes down to it, there is no escaping the fact that this is simply a terrible movie. End of. ...
Advantages: Strong story, strong cast, strong message Disadvantages: None - unless you have a heart of stone
your attention throughout due to the wonderful narrative and sympathetic characters ? it really is the perfect Christmas film in my opinion.
It is in black and white although a colourised version is now available. I have seen this version and expected it to be awful but it is actually very good - it was only released last year and succeeds two previous colour versions which were rejected by both Capra and Stewart before their deaths. I hadn't expected to like it as I tend to be a purist when it comes to film but I was pleasantly surprised.
"It's a Wonderful Life" is available in many different DVD releases from £6.98. ...
I bought this book of Stinking space jokes by Karen King in my local charity shop .
I thought they would my 6 ½ year old grandson would enjoy practicing his reading skills by reading them.
This books front cover has a three eyes grinning alien head on a blue background with stars on it . It is a paper back book with 144 pages it has 500 jokes in it.
My grandson a fairly good reader quite enjoys this book. The jokes are short and corny.
I politely laugh when he reads them to me of course
These jokes are short each one only 8 or ten words then the punch line response 1 to 10 words too. Most of the words are simple 3, 4, 5 letters with the occasional longer word.
I will give you an example of a couple of the jokes.

In 'Life Stinks', Goddard Bolt, a billionaire developer, is challenged by business rival Vance Crasswell to live on the streets without money for one month among the homeless both men are trying to further displace by building on the property that is their only home. Goddard is forced to dance for his money, avoid turf wars, develop survival tactics, live in a cardboard box, and more. But along the way, he makes valuable friends among the street people who teach him that life is not about owning material items but about the integrity of the human spirit. One of these is bag lady Molly, who, in one of the most inspired moments of the film, dances with Goddard in a dilapidated building to the strains of Cole Porter's Easy To Love. It is humanistic moments such as this one that makes what could have been a silly movie into a film more reminiscent of Brooks's madcap but poignant films such as 'Young Frankenstein'.
