If your a guy, then this is another one of those classic movies. This box set includes all four of the films. The films centre around two American cops who get teamed up to solve various crimes.

Lethal Weapon 1
Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) is a suicidal cop who has just recently lost his wife and doesn't care if he lives or dies. The other, well he's the opposite. Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover) has only just turned 50 and has a few more years until his retirement. As they say opposites attract. Well not all the time, as Roger finds out.

At the start of the film Roger doesn't like how Martin goes about his duties as a cop, but as they begin to work together Roger starts to understand how Martin works and why he is like he is.

The new partnership go on the case of Amanda Hunsaker, a prostitute who is one of the daughters of bank president Michael Hunsaker. As the case goes on they discoverderd that she was murdered. This is just the start. The case leads to apart from the murder but to a drugs baron called "The General".

The film was so successful that the producers decided to make a second, third and fourth. These are also great films. They all include the two cops Riggs and Murtaugh and also an appreance in three of the films by the one and only Joe Pesci. You need to watch the films just to see his roles.

Lethal Weapon 2
The second film really starts when Martin and Roger chase down a red bmw and finding several million dollars in Krugerand - South African currency, in the trunk of the car. As they investigate they uncover that the people driving the car are actually drug smuggles from Africa. Easy case, right? Not at all, the South Africans are infact protected by diplomatic immunity.

Martin and Roger's boss is forced to assign them to another case in fear of his job. They get assigned to a witness called Leo Gets - who is Joe Pesci. A few hours with Leo do their heads in, but they find out that he has delt with these Africans before.

The film Continues this storyline with Leo helping Martin and Roger capture the bad guys. Also in this film Martin finds love with a member of the smugglers who actually doesn't like the job she is doing. This film also explains how Martins wife Vicky died and he is devistated.

Lethal Weapon 3
The duo are back again in the third installment, again with funnyman Leo Getz. In this film Roger retires in a matter of days and he cant wait for it so all he wants is a nice ending with no action, but with Martin as his partner that is truely impossibe. Martin gets into a chase involving a robbery and as i good cop as he is, Martin gets the baddie. This is their case in this film, well that is until they get thrown off it by Lorna Cole from Internal Affairs. Martin doesn't like this and eventually gets back on the case working alongside Lorna.

The suspect Martin arrested for the robbery ends up dead in the interview room and the cctv captures the killer. The killer is an ex cop called Jack Travis who stops the case by killing every witness. Jack is now the prime suspect for a gun robbery that happened in the police station itself. As Roger is doubting his retirement and feeling guilty after shooting his son's friend in a shoot out, Martin and Lorna get closer, and closer until they can't resist eachover anymore and end up kissing. A new girl for Martin? maybe.

Lethal Weapon 4
The last movie of the series. This has a few new faces with Chris Rock and Jet Li. Lee Butters (Chris Rock) is the husband of Roger's daughter Rianne. If you know Chris Rock you will know how funny he is alone nevermind with Joe Pesci. Wah Sing Ku (Jet Li) is the Triad who wants Martin and Roger dead. Martin and Roger along with Lorna Cole are on the case of the Triads who are counterfeiting Chinese currency in the USA. Leo Getz returns but this time he is now a private investigator but still funny as hell and still annoying Martin and Roger. Also this film see's the birth of Martin's baby and he is over the moon. Aww bless.

This box set extra features include trailers, Featurettes, Behind-the-scenes Footage an Audio Commentary and some additional Footage. This is ok i suppose but could be a little added - a bit more of depth to it.

Lethal Weapon 1,2,3 and 4 is in my list of fave films because the mix of action with the comedy is just genious. For example; Mel Gibson playin a maniac cop always scaring his partner to death during every shoot out - you should see some of the faces Danny Glover pulls. I feel sorry for him! Also Joe Pesci being introduced to the film made the film go up to the next level. Now instead of having a suicidal cop and one almost retired, there is now a little squeeky voiced, annoying, funny guy trying to be a cop. Like i said this film has to be watched just for the part he plays.

This action/comedy is a must see.
