All the Lethal Weapon films have been hugely successful and were independently great films but with the fourth addition to the series it just gets better and better.
This time Riggs (Mel Gibson) and Murtaugh (Danny Glover) return to tackle a series of crimes involving the illegal smuggling of immigrants. This means they go on several action packed outings and eventually this leads them to an Asian Triad gang fronted by action man Jet Li. It is a different type of plot from all the others but it really is excellent and all the cast pull together to make it the best one yet.
The acting in this film is superb from all the cast. Mel Gibson is once again wonderful as the loose cannon Riggs who is now becoming more down to earth since his charcter ages. Danny Glover is superb as Murtaugh the partner to Riggs that couldn't be be more different. He has his feet firmly on the ground and is less adventurous. This provides an entertaining contrast between the two lead characters. The supporting cast are also superb. Renne Russo returns as the love interest of Riggs and once again acts very well. Joe Pesci is back and funnier than ever creating some very funny scenes. Chris Rock appears for the first time as fellow police officer and love interest of Murtaughs daughter. He too provides some hilarious scenes and when teamed up with the rest of the cast he will have you in stiches. The all star cast is topped off with the new bad guy played by Jet Li. He acts very well and provides a powerful advesary for the team and when is come to martial arts he will leave you stunned.
The action too is incredible and full of stunts. The addition of martial arts creates even more entertainment. There are however the usual dose of stunning cars chases. This one being bigger and better than those in previous outings. There are massive explosions just like normal and shootouts galore so the action fan is kept entertained throughout.
I don't have a bad thing to say about this film because it will entertain action movie fans, comedy fans and even martial arts fans. All together it combines to be a really outstanding film. Highly reccomended.
<**The Disc**>
The film is presented in a superb fashion. It makes full use of what DVD has to offer.
It is shown in widescreen format with a screen ratio 2.35:1. The picture quality is stunning and never once shows any sign of grain or artefacts. It is crystal clear throughout and reproduces bright vibrant colours as well as darker more atmospheric colours perfectly.
The soundtrack is Dolby Digital 5.1 and is incredible. It really makes full use of the speakers and makes it feel like you are in the film. Explosions and gunfights have depth and realism creating a more pleasing cinematic experience.
The extras are as follows: Production notes Trailers Pure Lethal Documentary 8 Clip Interview Gallery Lethal Weapon 1-3 Extended Scenes - 3 Clips B-Roll Footage
The extras are all very interesting and revealing into the making of the movie and also gives a look at the older movies. The Pure Lethal documentary is excellent and not only looks at the older films but provides a look at the making of this movie.
<**Overall**>
Overall this is a must have for any DVD collection. It is an excellent film and the disc enhances it superbly. It really is outstanding in every possible way. If there had been any flaws with the film or disc I would have pointed them out but there simply aren't any. I can hghly recommend this to anyone because I'm sure they would enjoy the film and the extras are very interesting too.

I'll always prefer the first 2 films tothe later ones, not that the later ones were bad, but there is little to beat the earlier ones. And thanks for a great review, maybe I'll get the DVD. :o)
