Let's look at Diggers is a great DVD for any child who loves diggers and excavators. Put on your hard hat and come along for a fascinating tour around the JCB Factory.
Rob has always dreamed of driving a digger and has the same dream everynight until one night he is dreaming of diggers when he hears a voice calling him.....the next thing he is at the JCB factory. He gets a full tour around the factory and gets to see how the JCB's are made. He gets to see the famous dancing diggers and the JCB GT which can acheive speeds of more than 100 miles per hour! He learns the company was founded fifty years ago by Joeseph Cyril Bamford and that's how it got its name JCB.

Our Opinion
In my group we have a digger mad 2 year old who absolutely loves this dvd. It is made more real to him and interesting because it shows a little boy like himself realising his dream and going to the JCB factory for a tour where he gets to see lots of different diggers and even gets to drive one.
It does get a bit tedious after the 100th time viewing (I now know a lot about diggers) but Joe enjoys it and has not got bored with it yet so we just keep watching and watching.
Because of this DVD we decided to do a topic on diggers "We Love To Learn About Diggers" we learnt all about makes, sizes, speeds, digger bits and even visited Diggerland (where adults and children get to have a go on a real digger).
If your child likes digger, dumpers and trucks I would recommend this DVD.
When one of my old boyfriends was a wee guy he would disappear for hours (safer times back then....), his Mum would ask where he was and he would say that he went to see "Jessie B".....Who was this little girl she wondered.... - yes, you guessed it, he spent hours watching the diggers.
