Like what is this film totally about?
Reese Witherspoon - a classy, attractive and talented actress – stars as a stereotype blonde; Elle Wood’s in the comedy: Legally Blonde 1 and 2. Elle’s ‘love of her life’ Warner (played by Matthew Davis) has dumped Elle leaving her with the excuse that she isn’t smart enough. However Elle believes Warner is her true love and commits herself to law school, Harvard law school. The people of Harvard are astounded that a pink ‘capital Barbie’ has come to such a highly intellectual school. Elle starts her Harvard experience challengingly; finding it hard to be accepted (but not loosing any of her confidence.) However Elle is determined; she keeps her chin up and knuckles down at Harvard. Elle’s professor, Callaghan, takes on four students to help out in a real murder trial. Elle gets her big break, and wins the murder trial thanks to her knowledge of hair care. Whilst all of this has been happening, Elle has gained a close friend, Paulette Bonafonté (played by Jennifer Coolidge.) Warner reveals he is engaged to a spiteful student from Law school, Vivian (played by Selma Blair) – Vivian and Warner were also 2 of the four students Callaghan picked) – and Elle goes for a drive and spots a salon and gets her
nails done to cheer herself up, Paulette does the manicure for her and they gradually become closer, and Elle helps Paulette get her dog back and get with the delivery man; thanks to the helpful ‘Bend and Snap!’ Gradually things perk up, Vivian realizes how sly Warner is and dumps him, Vivian also becomes Elle’s best friend. Elle gets together with Emmet Richmond – a male companion who works for Callaghan played by Luke Wilson – Emmet also helps Elle to win the murder trial case by giving her a big boost of confidence. Also how could I forget Elle’s side kick, Bruiser, her dog, who plays a big part in the sequel. The first Legally Blonde was, in my opinion, funny and a very good movie bringing to life a new outlook upon ‘blondes.’ When I heard about Legally Blonde I expected it to be an average film, you know, just one of those chick flicks, but I found I enjoyed the movie and wishing I knew somebody like Elle Woods. I cried of laughter and soon after thought about the sequel. Lucky for me the sequel was produced and, as soon as the advanced previews came out I was going to be there. The sequel is about animal rights, a matter well debated about in reality. This subject was a good theme for the movie because many community’s are interested in human rights. Throughout Legally Blonde 2 I noticed a few things that were the same as the first movie, for instance the comedy and wit about it all hadn’t changed however it was still funny and made me almost cry laughing! Also the ending is much the same, using the subtexts etc. Nothing wrong about that though.
Let’s totally get to know the cast!
Legally Blonde 1: Elle Woods ~ Reese Witherspoon Vivian ~ Selma Blair Warner Hunnington ~ Matthew Davis Serena McGuire ~ Alanna Ubach Margot Chapman ~ Jessica Cauffiel Emmet Richmond ~ Luke Wilson Paulette Bonafonté ~ Jennifer Coolidge Callaghan ~ Victor Garber

Overall this film was highly rated and above average and I really enjoyed it, if you haven’t already seen either of them make sure you do, they’re to good to miss!
How did the actresses and actors perform? Overall the acting was well done, Reese Witherspoon (Elle Woods) has played a few different roles, ranging from subtle and casual (when she acted in ‘sweet home Alabama’) to overflowing with confidence and bubbly (‘legally blonde’), this looks and sounds quite hard to do, but since she is a brill actress she played the characters as if she was acting normally, bringing this movie into reality. Luke Wilson (Emmet Richmond) has also been in a few films but in Legally Blonde even though he is the one Elle will marry he is in few scenes, however he acts well and causes a couple of mouths to drop open! Many of you will have seen American pie 1, 2 or even 3 and Jennifer Coolidge (Paulette Bonafonté) played a role as a sex attraction and was confident, but in legally blonde she was unconfident, especially with men. This is another big role change, but once again you have to be an astounding actor to partake in such a different characters role. The rest of the actors were equally as good making the whole rating of the movie rise, with out actors or actresses the movie would have been nothing, the director- Robert Luketic – picked the actors and actresses very well!
The music was so completely the part! The sound tracks were almost all cheery, Rolf Kent (who dealt with the music) picked some good tunes, I don’t know if you noticed but the beginning and end tunes are the same, (in legally blonde 2) symbolising everything did workout, in the end that is! The soundtrack was called: ‘On this Perfect Day’
Overall the movie was funny, even know the 2 movies were much the same but still legally blonde is in the spot-light and it deserves to be!
