Played by actress Reese Witherspoon. Elle is 100% blonde and proud of it! Elle lives in LA with her tiny little dog...Bruiser Woods. She loves everything ... ...side of him, but in Legally Blonde we see sarcasm and a slightly darker side of him.
The soundtrack for this film was ok but not brilliant. The main theme song which is sung at the beginning and the end of the film is perfect, but on it's own as a single it wouldn't sell well. Hoku did a good job but it's not something I would listen to if it wasn't on the soundtrack and the film, I wouldn't bother with it.
Overall a good film, one to stop in with ...

Advantages: Funny, Light Hearted, Very Girly, Very Me Disadvantages: A Tad Bit Predictable.
Ok chick flick, teen movie lover here. If you have read any of my other movie ops I always mention the fact that I LOVE teen movies. Anyway my friend saw this movie and said when I saw this, I thought of you.
To be honest I guessed what she was thinking of as the film looked really girly and pink (just like me) so I knew I would love it. After I found out it was number one in the states I knew it was going to be good! It was a surprise hit just ... ...Anyway I have to say I expected loads of fun and I definitely was not disappointed this film was just brilliant. I left the movie theatre feeling bubbly and happy for some reason and I just had the urge to go out and buy a pink dress and I did! Lol! This film is definitely one for the girls, I don’t think the guys would appreciate it plus it makes girly blondes look really cool (even though I already know that, haha)!

Advantages: Simple, harmless fun Disadvantages: Intellectually stimulating this is not
Legally Blonde is the story of Elle Woods, a beautiful blonde fashion student from Los Angeles. Elle has an enviable lifestyle. She is adored by her room mates, spoilt rotten by her wealthy parents and has a handsome boyfriend who is the talk of the town. For Elle, life has got just about as good as it can get, and the film opens with her busily preparing for her forthcoming date – when she expects her boyfriend to pop the big question.
But ... ...week for new DVD releases, Legally Blonde still seemed better than watching terrestrial television for the afternoon, so I duly hired a copy. Against all expectations – and probably against my better judgement – I have to confess that I really enjoyed this movie and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it to others.
Legally Blonde is genuinely funny – not in a crude teenager kind of way, or in a subtle way, but just ...

...um I kinda liked watching Legally Blonde, shoot me if you want but I did.
** So when you gonna get reviewing the film then? **
Um, right about NOW!, it is though, its a chick-flick, us guys don´t go to see them do we?, well I do, sometimes, usually when I´ve had a bit of a downer and got nothing better to do and well y´know it kinda felt like one of those days.
Brief synopsis of the movie time?, you´re damn right!, All Blondes are dumb aren´t ... ...on that and that alone, Legally Blonde doesn´t y´know?, it has a proper storyline to it as well, and by proper I mean the type that you can get along with, the type that you don´t sit wondering why something just happened - it works and thats the main thing.
** And the cast are idiots yes?, well no **
Here have a cast-list, you lovely, lovely people you

Advantages: Reese Witherspoon, innocent humour Disadvantages: May not appeal to male audiences
...from my nieces to watch Legally Blonde, in the belief that it was going to be a really terrible chick flick, I finally succumbed to the pressure, and was surprised at how enjoyable it was. It is by no means an intelligent film, as it never sets out to be, but the humour through out the whole film is innocent and very good. The plot itself is a bit of teenage fantasy which will appeal to young girls as it also includes a sub romantic story. But the ... ...seriousness. Unlike many modern comedies, Legally Blonde works on displaying situation comedy rather than placing purposeful jokes throughout the movie. The humour itself comes mainly in the form of the girlie pastiche which is totally over the top and as a bloke, found myself laughing at most of it and being thankful that I don't live in a pink world.
The casting of Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line) as Elle was a masterful stroke, as she displays ...

DVD Description
In the sharply funny LEGALLY BLONDE, Reese Witherspoon gives a glittering performance as Elle Woods, the natural blonde sorority queen who enrolls at Harvard Law School. When she first appears, Elle seems to be no more than the bright cousin of CLUELESS's Alicia Silverstone. Expecting her boyfriend Warner Huntington III (Matthew Davis) to propose, she is mortified when instead he says he needs somebody serious as his wife. When Elle discovers Warner's brother is engaged to a law student, she decides to go to Harvard. She studies for the LSATs, submits a video essay--in which she appears in a sequined bikini--and, miraculously, is accepted. At first, Elle is rebuked by Professor Stromwell (Holland Taylor) and is the target of snide comments from other students. But, gradually, it becomes clear that Elle is no fish out of water--she is smarter, more driven, and more likely to survive in the rarefied Harvard atmosphere than anyone else. Witherspoon gets fine support from Selma Blair as Warner's new fiancee, Jennifer Coolidge as a beautician, Victor Garber as an unscrupulous professor, Ali Larter as a client from Elle's sorority, Holland Taylor, and Luke Wilson as a lawyer fascinated by Elle's unconventional approach. The smart, witty script is by Karen McCullah and Kirsten Smith. The first-time director is 28-year-old Australian Robert Luketic.
