Lee Evans, born February 25th 1964, born in Wales, married his wife heather at the age of 17 and has a daughter called Molly born in 1994, he quit boxing at the age of 21, had a big break through into comedy in 1988 at the Edinborough festival, this DVD was the last date of a 100 date tour around Britain, comedy genius perhaps? Buy this DVD and decide for yourself.
I am easily pleased when it comes to comedy, but it has to be funny and Lee Evans has to be the funniest man i've ever heard of! I first watched this when I was in a hard situation at home and I couldn't breath because I was laughing so much. I think he is very unique with his jokes because a lot of them are true, for example, "When you go somewhere in Edinborough, you go up a hill and when you come home, you still go up a f***ing hill"
In his shows he sweats a hell of a lot and he does in this one and I don't blame him, he puts so much excitement and effort into his jokes and his only stage prop is a towel, at the end of the day its worth it.
I managed to pick this up at a car boot sale for £2 and it's probably the best £2 i've ever spent. I love this.
I watched this last weekend with 4 of my mates and you couldn't hear some of the lines because they were still laughing their heads off to the previous lines. I think that also may prove that this is hilarious.
One of my favourite parts has to be his theory on why heavy weight lifters shake when they lift the weights. He starts off with "You know when you lift something heavy, sometimes you fart, thats what it is, he's holding it in, and thats why when they have finished they slam the bar back down, it's to hide the fart."
I wouldn't compare Lee Evans to another comedian because Lee Evans seems to have a very unique style about him.
Also, the spectacular ending includes his song on piano whilst playing along with the Edinborough bagpipe band. It truely is something, if only I could see that live.
This was directed by Tom Poole and written by Lee Evans. The music was also written by Lee Evans and amazingly enough, the main star is Lee Evans.
This also includes the legendary "Lee Evans Trio" which is him miming 3 instruments whilst music plays and it is so cleaver and funny.
I would recommend anyone to buy this along with XL tour and Wired and wonderful!
If you like comedy, this is the top stuff from Lee Evans!!!
