Learn To Dance - Waltz (DVD)

Good dance DVD for beginners

Advantages: Fun, great music, basic and easy to understand
Disadvantages: not so good to "get fit", too basic at some points

I've literally just finished the end of this DVD and thought Id write the review whilst it was still fresh in my mind! Pineapple Studios Everybody Dance does what it says on the tin "Learn To Dance, Get fit, & have fun!" - but only just. The choreographer is really good, and her credibility is backed up by the fact that she has worked with stars like the Sugababes, Rihanna and Mary J Blige. You definitely warm to her, shes not patronising, and you do feel part of the dance class whilst she is teaching you the moves! There are three main routines that she teaches you, each with a chorus and verse - "Maneater" by Nelly Furtado, "SOS" By Rhianna, "Aint No Other Man" by Christina Aguilera and "Beep" by The Pussycat Dolls. The DVD also includes other extras like meeting the dance troupe, make up tips etc as well as a full routine ...

Learn to play - Bryan adams DVD - ROCKIN!

Advantages: The song choice and the ease of use
Disadvantages: The price

This is quite possibly the best DVD I have ever brought =]. I was doing some early christmas shopping yesterday and decided to take a gander in HMV. Being a Bryan Adams fan myself, Its only natural that I would notice this dvd on the far shelf lol. Upon looking at the price tag it said £23.99 O.O. Yes .. it shocked me too. Personally I paid the full amount because I love bryan adams and his music, although you may feel differently. When I got home, I proceeded to play the DVD when I came across a wide range of features. First, I found that the dvd was about learning to play Bryan adams songs lol hence the title. The DVD teachs you 5 classic rock anthems that include 'Summer of 69' 'Run to you' 'Its only love' 'Cant stop this thing we' and started. Learning to dance with Len

Advantages: Wide range of dances to learn.
Disadvantages: Only shows the very basic steps.

Like many other people that are hooked by the BBC's 'Strictly Come Dancing', I decided to invest in this dvd by the head judge Len Goodman, which promises to teach us to learn to move like a dancing star. I thought that this would teach the steps of both latin american and ballroom dancing without necessarily needing a partner...not true. If you're buying this, you MUST have a partner to dance with. It's not really something you'll be able to master on your own. On the positive side, the DVD takes you through a wide range of both latin american and ballroom dance. The sections are as follows - 1) The Quick Step 2) The Cha Cha Cha 3) The Tango 4) The Rumba 5) The Waltz 6) The Samba 7) The Foxtrot 8) The Jive Another negative is that he only teaches the man's steps.
