Advantages: The theme music and some decent special effects
Disadvantages: The plot, script and general all round storyline

than Daredevil could ever have hoped to have been. Like his previous film the main problem with Ghost Rider is the script. While it is important to build up a bit of characterisation and let you know a bit about the characters I felt that Johnson went too far with some characters and seemingly ignored others. The end result sees a film that could have been so much better but due to a poor script and plot it comes across as just another excuse to use Riders In The Sky as the Theme music to the film. It seems a real disappointment that a film that could have spawned a series like the Blade films will no doubt disappear back into the vaults in Hollywood, of course if Johnson is to be involved in any follow-up as a writer that might not be a bad thing. A Homage To Easy Rider

Advantages: One of the greatest all round movies produced
Disadvantages: Elements of the story get slightly lost

to categorise this film is to completely ignore what it is and what it was attempting to achieve. It is not just a simple biker movie; it is more a cultural map work for the American counter culture during the anti-Vietnam movement. The hippy commune is a place that is so far removed from the rest of society that is portrayed in the movie, and is a world away from the lives we lead today. It was not only a shot in the arm for America but was a rejuvenating ray of sunshine for the dying Hollywood film factory. At the time of Easy Rider Hollywood was buried under crippling debts; something which it looked like could pull down the entire infrastructure of the system. Whale Rider

Advantages: it is good entertaining enough educational way film
Disadvantages: it is not too commercial

Niki Caro director of "Whale Rider," does well. She was able to convince the Ngati Konohi Maori tribe, that she should be the one to adapt Maori book to the screen, despite the fact that she's a "pakeha" (a New Zealander of European descent). I’m not sure what "Whale Rider" suppose to be, an anthropological/sociological study of the Maori people or the universal story of female empowerment in traditional male society. Indeed, the book's author, Witi Ihimaera, said he wrote "Whale Rider" as a modern retelling of a Maori legend -- in response to his daughter's complaining about the boy always being the hero. Main protagonist is Pai a Maori girl of 13 whom feels that her destiny is to become the leader of her Maori tribe, a whale rider in order to please her grandfather.
