So often you come to a series late and want to catch up with how it all began, The great thing about L&O in all it's differant guises is the strength of the cast and the strength of the writing. despite being nearly 18 years old the first episode of L7O really captures the imagination, as do the pilots of the other two series. There are a ton of episodes and a ton of differant stories and as happens so often the first season of a series are really strong. Maybe they should do more of these season i boxes for other shows.

LAW AND ORDER – SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT is a spin off of the incredibly popular and long running crime drama, LAW AND ORDER. SVU focuses on sex crimes and, instead of spending half the programme's hour with the cops and the other half with the lawyers, this series stays with the police and the criminals they pursue for most of the show. SVU takes place in New York and stars Christopher Merloni and Mariska Hargitay as Detectives Stabler and Benson, two partners who uncover some of the city's most shocking crimes. This collection contains the entire first series. CRIMINAL INTENT, the third LAW AND ORDER series, tweaks the well known format of the original show even further than Special Victims Unit. Starring Vincent D'Onofrio, whose incredible performance is the heart of the series, as Detective Robert Goren, CRIMINAL INTENT now focuses on the criminals as much as the investigators, allowing the viewer to see the planning and execution of a crime as Goren and his team try to crack the case. This collection contains the entire first series.
