Pack up your troubles. ============== Stan and Ollie get tricked into enlisting and are useless at everything but they meet Eddie and the 3 guys become inseparable buddies until Eddie gets killed in action. The boys, once discharged, go looking for Eddie's daughter in order to rescue her from abusive foster parents but in a huge city looking for a Smith is going to be a tall order. On top of this the boys get mistaken for bank robbers and then the madness really takes off! This film is packed with many, many funny situations, jokes and protracted slapstick scenes. It is not as good as "Way out West" but it comes close. It is way and above one of their best movies and delivers on every level. You won't stop laughing. It also stars James Finlayson as a general whom the boys drive nuts! Runtime: 68 Minutes Made in 1932
Their first mistake. =========== All in not well in the Hardy household, with Mrs Hardy complaining, that Ollie spends too much time with Stan. So Stan suggests that Ollie adopt a baby! But when they return home with the poor infant Mrs Hardy has left her husband for good, quite literally leaving Ollie holding the baby. A very funny comedy with the baby sometimes stealing the laughs, the panic stricken faces on the boys are magical. Made in 1932 Runtime: 21 minutes
Putting Pants on Philip. ==================== Stan is from Scotland and loves chasing the girls in his kilt; however the kilt tends to flap up when he does. Ollie is a Pompous socialite who decides to take his nephew, Stan, in hand and teach his some etiquette and manners. He must be mad it's Doooomed! Not one of their best, it's an early Laurel and Hardy and it shows. Not much in the way of gags but the slapstick is still a classic. Made in 1927 Runtime: 19 minutes

DVD Description
In this Laurel and Hardy comedy classic, the boys are connived into enlisting. After trying their darndest to fit in, they can't even march correctly, forcing their frustrated drill sergeant to assign them to the one detail he thinks they can handle--the kitchen. Stan and Ollie prove even KP is beyond their ken when they dump rubbish on the general's floor. After cooling their heels in the brig, the bumbling pair, along with buddy Eddie Smith, move to the front. When Eddie is killed in action, Stan and Ollie track down Eddie's young daughter, who has been taken in by abusive foster parents. Stan and Ollie take the girl to find her grandparents. Unfortunately, the only clue to the elderly couple's whereabouts is their last name--Smith. Three days, one hour and 56 minutes later, Stan and Ollie still haven't found the girl's grandparents, so they resort to desperate--and very funny--measures. Also includes a selection of related short films.
