There are a number of episodes with audio commentary but it is only interesting if you are a big fan and while I love listening to the commentary on shows like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, here I found it very irritating and not very informative. The only bit of information that came out of the commentary in the pilot episode was that the character of Mary was supposed to be a 'working girl' but she became a special events organiser instead - not quite the same but I don't think US audiences would have taken to a prostitute as a main character in a TV show.

This is one of the best dramas of the 1980s. The boxset has all 3series and the bonus 'reunion' episode. The series concentrates on the women's POW camp. The three series are based on real life experiences. Despite this being an excellent drama it is not the type of thing you can say 'I enjoyed watching that' Despite it having a 12 certificate I personally wouldn't recommend it as suitable for anyone under 15.
During the three series we see the women suffer at the hands of the Japanese guards. Food rations being cut, low medical supplies and death could only be around the corner for one or even all of the women.
The cast are fantastic. Stephanie Cole (better known as Diana Trent in Waiting for God) as Doctor Beatrice and Burt Kwouk as the sinister Captain Yamauchi to name but two.

For those of you who read my review of Season 1 of LasVegas (thanks by the way!) will know that I borrowed Season 1 off of a friend and loved it and so a week later I borrowed series 2 - well, now a week later I have finished that series too! (what am I gonna watch now?........).
'LasVegas' is set in and around the Montecito Hotel Resort & Casino located on the Strip in LasVegas and the people that work there.
Season one was mainly focused on the surveillance and security staff but Season two sees a lot of the other characters coming in to their own.
