Nicolas Cage play's a professor who has a young son. His son's school 50 years ago placed a time capsule for the future in which his son is handed a envelope which contains hundreds of numbers written on a piece of paper.
The numbers on the paper do not make sense at first, until Nicolas Cage realises that the numbers are significant to major disaster dates.
The number reveal 9/11 and future ones that haven’t yet occurred. He also finds out that the numbers are not only dates but longitude and latitude points on which disaster will strike.
His son is a chosen boy who will eventually move elsewhere with the whispering people.
The last numbers on the paper is the end of the world where a huge event will wipe out the entire planet minus the chosen children who will be taken by the whispering people to a new planet to start new life.
The film's story line is a gripping and fascinating story and very involving.
The graphics on the Blu Ray with the film are pretty fantastic, nothing you would expect from a DVD.
I personally loved this film and recommend it to everyone as it is a brilliant film to watch.
Nicolas cage played an exquisite character and portrayed him very well with the story and what was happening.
I managed to buy the Blu Ray from Asda for £15.71 which is cheaper than other places to buy the film on Blu Ray.
I honestly do recommend seeing this film as it is fantastic.
Advantages: clever thriller, good story, well acted Disadvantages: bit depressing?
Dont misunderstand my review title, this is a cracking film. You can nearly always say that about Nicolas Cage films, but this one really is! The premise is simple. There are many disasters happening on earth, for some reason, aliens decide to warn mankind about the upcoming disasters by "whispering" them to a little girl in the 1950's. Unfortuneately, that girl does nothing with the information other than write it down on a bit of paper and allow ... ...capsule. The capsule is dug up in the current day and discovered by Nicolas Cage's character. He soon discovers the code in the series of numbers written on the page and works out that the code tells of impending disasters, when they will happen, how many will die and the location. The story continues on along this path, with a worrying fortelling of the end of days. We don't know what will happen right until the end. I wont ruin it for you either, ...

Advantages: It touches areas most movies avoid Disadvantages: Nothing overly unique
. Tointon does a good job of being both annoying spoilt teenager from hell as well as action hero and zombie child killer. Once she?s stopped being annoying she becomes truly likeable.
The Children throws a few curveballs to get the viewer thinking, MMR jabs and illegal Chinese medicines are both mentioned and get you thinking as to the possible cause of the terrible illness that has struck the kids. The downside being that by the end your no clearer as to the reason, which leads to a little disappointment, was it a red herring or was it an aspect of the story dropped when the movies producers ran short of money? I guess we?ll never know.
The Blu-ray release is kind of a waste of money to be honest, it achieves little and there is nothing very much to tell it apart from the DVD release. The DVD looks crystal clear, and the Blu-ray simply makes ...
Advantages: Fantastic graphics.Interesting concept Disadvantages: Half baked story, bad dialogues, illogical at times
jobs and stupid jokes!
One area where the film scores big is its graphics. The graphics are fantastic and adds up to a great cinematic experience.I don't know how effective it will be on DVD and Blu-ray. The performances call for no heroics and no one actually standout from the crowd.
2012 might be a crowd pleaser but it is utterly disappointing! ...

Advantages: Easy to relate from playing the games, graphics, actions sequences Disadvantages: No sign of a sequel
I have been a resi fan for years, played the majority of the games and bought all the films, mainly for sentimental reasons and not because they are good films. This animated film is by far and away better than the 3 jovovich pictures and the funny thing is that it was so simple to do.
What encompasses the words resident evil for me are atmosphere, suspense, fear, action and above all capping loads of zombies. This film does all of that with characters that you have played with before, Leon S Kennedy and Claire Redfield, which is why you feel more at home watching this. There was nothing worse than watching the average portrayal of resident evil by Alexander Witt & co and feeling that it doesnt need much changing, why tamper with it?
If you loved the games get on board with this, especially the bluray version. Awesome. Graphics ...
Contains strong threat and intense disaster scenes
