the film wherein Richard Wildmark became a star, Victor Mature became and actor, sadism came to the big screen and Hollywood neorealism got tangled in dreamscape of noir.Kiss of Death is a semi-autobiography thriller which began life not as pulp fiction but as a version of facts, derived from the case files of Eleazar Lipsky, an inspiring novelist and Manhattan Assistant District Attorney. Ben Hecht and Charles Lederer delivered the script.Richard Widmark, then a radio actor, made his film debut, stealing every frame as the terrifying, grinning snickering killer Tommy Udo. Udo, with his animal ferocity and vicious joie de vivre, is clearly a spiritual nephew of Scarface's Tiny Camonte, but Widmark himself should be credited with many of the inspired details of his performance.

KISS OF DEATH opens with ex-convict Jimmy Kilmartin (David Caruso) attempting to distance himself from his shady past. His cousin, Ronny (Michael Rapaport), shows up at his door begging for help with one more heist, and Jimmy agrees to participate against his better judgment. Things go sour when a detective is shot, and Jimmy is left to take the fall. As Jimmy's hopes for a normal life with his wife (Helen Hunt) and daughter fade, he becomes a pawn of the police in their attempts to bring down a psychotic gangster named Little Junior (Nicolas Cage). Caruso and a pumped-up, supremely menacing Cage highlight a spectacular cast that also features Samuel L. Jackson as the cop who becomes Jimmy's solitary ally and Stanley Tucci as a Machiavellian district attorney. Novelist Richard Price supplies the screenplay, and director Barber Schroeder (SINGLE WHITE FEMALE) ensures that KISS OF DEATH, based loosely on the 1947 film of the same name, unfolds with the grooved precision of a well-made watch while bristling at every turn with the volatile life of a vividly imagined criminal underworld.

Advantages: Good story line Disadvantages: Rubbish special effects, lacks blood and gore and the scare factor
...Released in 2006, ?Death Row? was another horror film produced and directed by horror expert Kevin VanHook. Other horror films Kevin VanHook has produced and directed are those such as ?The Fallen Ones? (2005) and ?Voodoo Man? (2005). You may or may not have heard of these. Advantages: Intense captivating storyline Disadvantages: Some 2D characters
...I found this movie highly watchable. It contains some very good quality acting on behalf of Zach Braff throughout - featuring his usual Scrubs-like comedy lines. The movie doesnt however feature a few somewhat 2D characters who never really develop through the film.
The soundtrack was excellent featuring songs from snow patrol, which fitted the mood of the movie very well and kept the story fluid and moving quickly. I found the storyline thrilling but somewhat predictible because it was obvious from the start that Zach's character and his girlfriend would get back together by the time the hour and 1/2 was up. However, this predictiblilty is common in most romantic comedies and so was expected.
Overall, i found The Last Kiss very enjoyable viewing with some great comedy moments all the way through. I love Zach Braff's acting...
