DVD Description
Frank Sinatra stars as Lieutenant Sam Loggins, an American G.I. stationed in a small war torn French village in KINGS GO FORTH. Abroad and lonely, he falls in love with a mixed-race American woman, Monique (Natalie Wood). Monique in turn has set her sights on Britt (Tony Curtis), a rich playboy who's a new member of Sam's platoon. When Sam learns that Britt has told Monique he could never marry her because she isn't white, he resolves to kill Britt. But an upcoming mission vital to the Allies' victory over the Nazis makes both men reconsider their feud. Set in France in 1944, KINGS GO FORTH is a riveting film. Director Daves renders an exotic backdrop of villas and meadows as the two battle-hardened GI's court Monique, evoking a teenage sense of lust and angst. Most delectable however are the hunky leads. Cleverly juxtaposed, Sinatra and Curtis are utterly convincing as enemies. One cannot help but root for Sinatra's character Sam.
Advantages: Funny Disadvantages: Some old gags used
...Blackadder goes forth, what a brilliently funny series!
I think this is one of the most funniest series of blackadder made.
It is based in the trenches during World War I. Captain blackadder is with his companions, Leutenant George and Private Baldrick.
They are awaiting the order to go over the top of the trenches to face the enermy and certain death. However, Blackadder does not want to be snuffed by the germans and is always on the lookout for a way back to Britain and out the war.
It\'s full of new gags, and also old one\'s from the previous series\'.
All actors do a smashing job in this series.
It\'s a definate one to watch, you will not be disappointed with it!
And for those blackadder fans you just as well get the boxset, which is quite cheap now!...

Advantages: Price, Laughter, Acting, Disadvantages: No Extras,
...Second best sitcom according to viewers of the BBC sereies "Britains Best Sitcom"? Coming second only to Only Fools and Horses… I order a re-count!
I believe Blackadder deserved a lot more as the acting and the events which happen to Edmund Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson - the former Mr Bean) and his servant Baldrick (Tony Robinson - Time Team) are only to be laughed at again and again.
"Blackadder - The complete collection" is a 6 disc DVD limited edition box set of all the 4 Blackadder series, including the 3 specials Blackadders Christmas Carol, The Cavalier Years and the most recent Blackadder:Back and Forth.
The Box set is amazing piece of artwork with the symbol of a Knife with a adder around it on the front. Every fan knows that to be the symbol of History's bogeyman, Edmund Blackadder.
On sliding out the DVD's from the black...

...When I found out that Time Bandits was being released on DVD, I jumped at the chance to get hold of a copy and I've not been disappointed.
The film is a story about a group of Dwarves who steal the Supreme beings map of the universe, this map shows the destinations of all the "Time Holes" in the universe enabling the rowdy bunch to travel back and forth through time commiting robberies. On their travels they end up in the bedroom of al 11 year old boy, Kevin who ends up going along with them on their Journey. On this Journey they encounter Napolean (Ian Holm), Robin Hood (John Cleese) and the Roman King Agamemnon (Sean Connery), whilst also paying a very brief visit to the Titanic, all the while theiving what they can (including Napoleans Artificial hand!). Their destination is ultimately controlled by the Evil Genius (David Warner...
