Killer Instinct - Lizards DVD

An American drug lord named Lizard, (played by Meat Loaf) wants to buy the formula from Elmo and sets up a meeting. Unfortunately the meeting goes wrong as double crossing is on everyone's mind and many deaths occur inside the meeting place. Now with Elmo being hunted by contract killer, Dakota, (played by Emily Mortimer) hired by the very unhappy Lizard, he heads of to the U.K. to try and sell his new drug there. In England he meets up with ex-hitman Felix DeSouza, (played by Robert Carlyle) who has been hired to escort Elmo to a meeting with Leopold Durant, (played by Ricky Tomlinson), the head of a Liverpool criminal organisation. ...Brought to us by Broken Lizard when I first saw this in my boyfriend's DVD collection I thought, oh god another Jackass/ Dirty Sanchez style group of boys doing stupid things and making a frigging fortune at it. Well I was half right. The Broken Lizard boys do make me think of the a-for-mentioned troupes who make us laugh by getting kicked and beaten and doing every painful thing imaginable to their bodies, however shortly after the film had started I saw I was wrong. The opening scene in a car full of stoners, about to get caught, ALWAYS funny. In the desperate rush to rid themselves of incriminating bags of weed and shrooms the poor chap in the back of the car eats both bags, while front passenger throw another. ...I think this film is great it is also one of the best gripping war movies ever made. The film is magnificent. The film itselfs as fantastic actors which are the following carice van houten, sebastian koch, thom hoffman and halina reijn. Which the great director paul verhoeven choose so work in the ilm as they are stunning actors. The films itself is based on a beautiful jewish singer turns resistance spy when her family are executed by the nazis. But rachel's amazing escape will take her right into the arms of the killers, where she must rely on her own looks, wits - and breathtaking courage - to survive.
