Advantages: Fun in places, Bargain Price, A little Gem Disadvantages: Could do better with 3D Graphics compared to over films
...From the Director of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Tobe Hooper. Comes a little gem of a film. If you can pick it up cheap, I got it for a pound; you have yourself a bargain film. The plot may be a little far fetched, but it makes a change from the serial killers and Zombie films out there.
100 years ago a hotel was built on the banks of lake Sobek, and its main attraction was an enormous Nile crocodile. According to folk law the croc went crazy and ate everyone in the hotel. The basic plot follows eight college students on their spring break that have gone out on lake Sobek in a houseboat. The croc chases the students throughout the film as one of them put one of its eggs in a rucksack, tut tut, asking for trouble there. Rogue is most definitely up a few notches from earlier Australian movie Black Water, not least in the fact that it has a few known cast members, heading up our cast is Radha Mitchell as Kate Ryan who you'll know best from either Pitch Black or popular soap opera Neighbours...
