A job well done!!
Review of The Italian Job DVD by  ad21

Advantages: Keeps you wanting more!!
Disadvantages: none

...I have watched this film several times now and each time is no less thrilling than the other!!this is a film which keeps you gripped as you are eager to know what happens and how the characters manage to pull off such a tremendous and difficult robbery at the beginning of the film. The rest of it is based around gaining revenge on the man who kills one of the thieves in a marvelous twist to the storyline and it is great to watch how their plans unravel! This is a great dvd for those who enjoy action films but it is really an all rounder as it has something for everyone- murder, robbery, romance, cars, and handsome men and women!!It is not a film which is suitable for young children even under guidance but apart from that i would recommend it to anyone who has a spare couple of hours as this really is a great watch.... Pre-crime - It works
Review of Minority Report (Wide Screen) by  phillegg

Advantages: Excellent plot, pulled off extremely well
Disadvantages: It might keep you up all night thinking about it

...kills this man, then Precrime will have failed, but if he is captured, then Precrime will be taken over. The film provides superb special effects, along side the excellent story line. The DVD is a 2 disc special with loads of features, including production videos, and the filming of the stunts. There are also the trailers, and a preview of the Minority Report game. I would recommend this film to anyone who enjoys an interesting and twisting plot. The performance of Cruise in this film is great, he really fits the part. You'll definetely have to concentrate the first time you watch this film.... Read review

"Leave anything for us?" Just bodies.
Review of Commando DVD by  num13er

Advantages: Ah-nuld laying waste to armies, without incurring serious injury
Disadvantages: One of the most camp villians ever...or is that an advantage?

...holding this thing together. Why is it so popular without the elements of sound plot, reality and decent acting? Its quite simple. Arnie, machine guns, evil terriorists and camp villians can somehow pull a masterpiece out of the depths of film despair. Despite the cliches, despite the bad acting, despite Bennet, Commando is still regarded not just as a decent action movie but an iconic one. He'll hit us with all the one-liners he had in his arsenal and we could do nothing but stand and applaud when the killing finally stops. Nonsensical one man army flick with Arnold Schwarzenegger, we are powerless not to love every second. DVD Extras: Interactive menus. Scene access. Original theatrical trailer. It was brought to my attention that i hadn't included any of the special features on this dvd release. This was largely due to the fact... Read review

one of the coolest Belgian films – ever!
Review of Man Bites Dog DVD by  victor

Advantages: surprisingly funny for a black and white Belgian film!
Disadvantages: not for you if you never find violence funny

...Although this film is trying to make a serious point it is pretty damn funny for a mock documentary about a man who likes going around killing people. It is in black and white (which does seem to put some people off – philistines!) and follows the everyday life of man who just happens to kill people now and then. The film crew end up encouraging and participating in the killings making the viewer question our own voyeuristic pleasure in watching violence. However you're likely to be too busy laughing to worry about this too much!... Read review

Kill Bill ! kill everybody kill kill kill
Review of Kill Bill - Vol. 1 DVD by  Ianharrywebb

Advantages: A Great Film to watch again & again
Disadvantages: we have to wait for the seconed half Vol. 2

...I'm looking forward to seeing the second half of this film Kill Bill Vol 2. I am going to buy the DVD when it comes out {Hopefully with both halfs in one box} This story moves back and forth in time beging with chapter 2 ending with chapter one. It's a homage to chinese films and it's done well. The Bride was left for dead but lives, and she is pissed off with a list of people to kill {Five in total} I don't know how many heads limbs people get chopped {And I have seen this three times} but it's a lot. Step back Ripley here comes the Bride she kicks ass . This is a a film to enjoy again and again, roll on Febuary for V2 and roll out the DVD I want it NOW! Well done Q.T. your the man.... These type of films are always good
Review of I Know What You Did Last Summer DVD by  mdstone

Advantages: great serial killing movie
Disadvantages: predictable in parts

...I know what you did last summer is about a group of teenagers who accidently run over and kill a man while speeding down a country road. After they decide that if they tell the police about it they will all be in serious trouble, so they try to cover up the man-slaughter and act as if nothing happened. A year goes by and they have forgoten about the accident which happened last summer, until a series of murders happen in thier home town and they come face to face with the man they thought they killed. They are then on the run as he tries to seek revenge by killing all of them one by one in a bloody encounter. Overall I think it was a good film, which will have you jumping in parts. Although it is quite predictable in places, especially when he keeps coming back when they think he's dead, it is well worth watching.... Read review
