...Let me start by saying Rambo first blood, I enjoyed, the next 2 movies sucked, so I was hopeful of a mature Sly giving us a superb Rambo 4.
If you want to watch this film, DO NOT read on there are some plot reveals and it will spoil it for you… you have been WARNED.
Oh, eat your popcorn quickly you made need the bucket!
The start of the film shows footage of torture victims and dead bodies from previous Burmese wars, not an auspicious start, in fact, it sets the tone for the film.
Next we see people being blown up and gunned down in a paddy field, enter the bad guy.

Advantages: None Disadvantages: Too violent, some bad acting.
...Being a Stallone fan, Rocky and Rambo films in particular, i couldn't wait to see the new Rambo movie.
Now i have seen it, i wish that i hadn't. This is quite possibly the most violent movie i have seen, EVER. The amount of of gratuitous violence is quite simply ridiculous, and must hold some kind of record for the most deaths in an hour and a half (in a film).

Advantages: Blood, blood, oh and more blood. Disadvantages: None

Despite this, the movie is certainly action packed and a thriller, I'm just surprised Sylvester doesn't have to oil those weary joints.
As far as Rambo goes, the plot is never the main attraction. People tend to go and watch Rambo for the mind blowing amounts of violence, which, there is a lot.. However I am delighted to say that Stallones recent movie has a storyline that isn't a complete embarrassment.
Rambo has retired. He lives in a small Thai village near the Burmese border and captures snakes for a living now...
