ever. In conversation with Gary Linker he reflects on the highs and lows of his career; his playing days at Fulham and his sacking as manager of the London club his success in charge of Ipswich Town PSV and Porto but the toll it took on his family life. He recalls his eight dramatic years in charge of the national side: his vilification by the press. Maradona's infamous 'Hand Of God' goal and taking England to within a penalty kick of the 1990 World Cup final. And he tells of his dream came true - a return to his hometown club Newcastle United a dream only achieved after a rarely-mentioned fight against cancer. As we follow Sir Bobby in his day-to-day duties from signing autographs to the nitty-gritty of running one of the biggest teams in the land it is clear that the attributes that won him the respect and admiration of the world's best are having a similar effects on today's players.

of the man, it instead centres around the people who work at the Ambassador hotel and the people running his campaign.
I had high hopes for this film, it has an all star cast and there must surely be a lot to tell about Bobby Kennedy. However I came away feeling disappointed. I have learned nothing about the man I didn't already know. Perhaps it should have been more clearly stated that this is not a biopic about the man himself but more a reflection of the turbulent times that he lived in. There is no information about the assassin or his motivation. He just appears at the end and shoots, end of story.
The characters in the film are fictional, the film switches between their mostly unrelated stories, it's hard to care about any of them. The dialogue is far too scripted and contrived and comes across as very forced.
It would have perhaps ...

before. That did not matter to me.
The film was directed by Don Chaffey and runs for approximately 87 minutes. Universal - suitable for all and it is.
The story begins on a Farm called Cauldbrae, in Scotland in mid 1800's.
The film gives a date which differs to other information I have found.
As the film is old (1961) it was lovely to see it in colour, I noticed the scenes tended to have a rather cloudy picture postcard appearance which in a way made it seems rather dreamy. The scenes of the beautiful Scottish land took on a purple hue which in some senses made it quite magical. So if you do watch this do not expect a clear cut high quality graphics film. Just watch it for the lovely story it tells about Bobby and the people who cared for him.

heritage, with all that going for him, is it any wonder he has the voice he has? I'd admittedly never heard him much before seeing him live but I am glad that I didn't as it made me much more appreciative of his style of music, people I have spoken to since have heard of him as a big band, king of swing style singer, but having no preconceptions, I feel this is the best way to listen to Michael Buble.
