Advantages: Willy gags Disadvantages: Same old stuff
...Austin Powers, like sex , is never as good the second time around. This film was an above average effort to milk some more ££££ out of the Austin Powers character. Merchandise city! Another excuse to sell the mugs, dolls, posters, t-shirts and all the other mechanise associated with a big budget Hollywood film these days. Back to the film. As a collection of sketches on Saturday Night Live this film would have worked but a 2 hour movie was just too much. There are only so many willy gags you can take in that short a time. The story was new but the gags weren’t. Austin Powers 1 was ten times better. It made me laugh for the first half an hour but the novelty wore off. This is not a film for my collection....

Advantages: Good laughs and great goals Disadvantages: Only 58 minutes long
...Soccer AM is a Saturday morning show on Sky sports one every Saturday and it helps cover the English football leagues from the week before and what games are going to be played for the following week. It also has other features like about 3 different guests will come onto the show e.g. one could be an injured footballer, one could be a celebrity and another could be a few band members for a music group. Not only do they have guests and football highlights they also have 8 fans in from a certain football team and some of the crew members have their own part of the show like Tube's question. No this is a big hit on TV soothe first DVD, Soccer AM 1, was quite good so this DVD had good expectations.

Advantages: loads of great goals to sit back and admire Disadvantages: not very long and i thought it would have some comedy moments which it didn't
...It's a good DVD to watch on a Sunday afternoon when you're bored but its a big let down if your hoping for something like the show. It would have been a lot better if they added another 30 minutes or so of things like "third eyes" and "sport hurts" but i suppose they only wanted to focus on goals.
Helen Chamberlain is as fit as ever in it which moves it up a notch in my estimation but the only thing that i'm really dissapointed with is the length. Its only on for under an hour and i was expecting a DVD as long as the Saturday morning show.
Hopefully they'll take note of the duration when they make future DVD's but i think this is a good first attempt.
If you like watching great goals presented by two real football fans then you'll enjoy this DVD....
