This was one of the biggest selling films of it’s time with new and improved computer graphics which brought the dinosaurs to life, and directed by the legendary director Steven Spielberg.
The main stars included Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm, Sam Neill as Dr Alan Grant and Laura Dern as Ellie Sattler who are specially selected people who are to be the first visitors to this park. The whole idea came about from a millionaire John Hammond played by Richard Attenbrough, who wanted to bring something new to the world of theme parks, unfortunately things go wrong during a storm which gives a slobish computer employee the chance to steel the dinosaur embryos and sell them to a rival company, in the process he switches the power off to the dinosaur enclosure fences in order to escape without being seen but unfortunately runs into a group of dinosaurs looking for lunch. Leaving John Hammond no alternative but to shut down the whole park and restart the system. With the power out the dinosaurs escape and chaos begins with everyone running for their life trying not to get eaten.
This is one of the best films of the 90’s and well worth the watch, the computer imagery used was the first of it’s kind at the time and is amazing to watch as the dinosaurs look more life like than ever before, I found this film to highly enjoyable with some great suspense moments.
