This film is, at the present date, 8 years old, but it doesn't show at all. I watched it on video just the other day, and the special effects are comparable to any seen in films today. I'm sure we all know the plot by now - Richard Attenborough makes a dinosaur theme park from DNA extracted from a mosquito in amber, which promptly breaks down and sets all the dinosaurs loose on unsuspecting cast. The combination of excellent author - Crichton - and excellent director - Spielberg - makes for a movie you wouldn't want to miss the world. The atmosphere is tense, and moments like the rippling water, and the velociraptors in the kitchen are ones we are never likely to forget. The soundtrack is stirring, and the performances are excellent - with special note to be paid to Neill, Goldblum, and Attenborough. This is a brilliant film.
