modern shakespear?
Review of Romeo And Juliet DVD by  pbujo

Advantages: a much more modern version
Disadvantages: the language can be difficult to grasp

...The famous Shakespearean love story of Romeo & Juliet has been taken from the Elizabethian age & placed into modern day America, set in Verona Beach. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio & Claire Danes, this unusual movie brings Shakespear's greatest love story to life. Romeo's family is constantly fighting with Juliet's family. When Romeo & Juliet meet at a party (arranged for Juliet to meet her future husband,) they can't help but fall in love with each other. With the disagreements between the two families, the love affair is destined to be doomed. Behind their families backs, Romeo & Juliet secretly meet & marry. Things take a turn for the worse when Romeo's friend is killed by Juliet's cousin & Romeo takes revenge. The law is out for Romeo & Juliet is forced to marry the man whom her father chooses. I won't tell you the ending as you... Read review

Lost Season 3
Review of Lost - Series 3 DVD by  JackCanning

Advantages: Best Series Yet
Disadvantages: Nikki And Paulo

...Survival, Hope, Questions, Answears, Romance, Freedom, Jacob. All of this in the breathtaking new series of Lost. At the end of season 2 we see Micheal (Harrold Perreaneau) get his son back by betraying his fellow castaways Hurley, Jack Sawyer and Kate. Season 3 picks up right where it left off. Jack is imprisioned in a small room where new character Juliet often visits. Sawyer and Kate are in two different cages and have to work with the others and there only food is Fish Biscuits. Lost Season 3 is by far the best series so far, It features 23 amazing epsiodes with 3 outstanding award winning episodes. The first of those is Episode 8- Flashes Before Your Eyes, this features Demond Hume, not a survivor of Oceanic Flight 815 but a cast away from his ship the Elizabeth as he tried to proove his ex-grilfriend (Penelope Widmore's) dad... Review of Romeo & Juliet
Review of Romeo And Juliet DVD by  evilalarm

Advantages: Classic... Great If Your Taking Romeo & Juliet For English GCSE
Disadvantages: None

...in the tragedy of the two lovers. He was a teacher and advice giver to many characters most notably to Romeo, who the Friar refers to as a pupil. Romeo: "Thou chid'st me oft for loving Rosaline." Friar: "For doting, not for loving, pupil mine." (2.3.81-82), My impressions of Friar Lawrence are that he is full of self-responsibility, as he automatically takes on the burden of getting peace between the Montagues and Capulets. This is because he constantly refers to himself and what he can do for the situation. This happens as soon as he finds out Romeo and Juliet are in love, even though he does not fully agree with the haste of their union. Romeo: "O let us hence! I stand on sudden haste." Friar: "Wisely and slow. They stumble that run fast." This quote sums up why everything went wrong, perhaps if the Friar had taken his own advice and not allowed... Read review
