I absolutely adore this musical partly because our choir at school performed the score. The story is about a boy called Joseph who experienced premonition dreams and who lived in Egypt many moons ago. He was envied by his 11 brothers because he was his father's favourite child. Joseph received a beautiful multi-coloured coat from his father and this was the last straw for his brothers. They kidnapped Joseph and sold him to be a slave to a rich man. The rich man's wife took a liking to Joseph and when he refused her propositions she told her husband otherwise. Joseph was promptly sent to jail. There he made friends as he would interpret their dreams and foretell their futures. The King of Egypt had heard of this talent and asked Joseph to interpret his dreams. Joseph agreed and then helped the King with the consequences of his interpretation. In the end Joseph is well-known around the country and his brothers go to visit him without knowing it is actually their brother. Joseph forgives them and accepts them back into his life and reunites with his father. The whole story is narrated by a third person, outside the story. Although the story is dark and heavy at times, the script is highly comical, filled with one liners and fun. The lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Lloyd-Webber really get stuck in your head- You'll be singing the songs for days.

Hi - welcome to Ciao firstly. Sorry about the low rating, but there is more you could say about this show without giving away so much of the plot!! Are you reviewing the show as you've seen it in the theatre? If so, how was it staged and what was good about it? Are you reviewing the video? If so, how did you find it? Or are you reviewing how it is to perform? In which case, tell us a little bit more of your experiences. What songs are in the show? How about some of the characters? I've seen it a couple of times and really enjoyed it, but I think there is LOADS more stuff you could say about this show. C : )
