Who is Katie Price ? * Katie Price is a 29 year old celebrity mum. Katie Price first came to the public eye as glamour model Jordan.Jordan is the name Katie goes under when she's glamour modelling appeared frequently on page 3 of popular newspapers e.g The Sun. Katie Price appeared on the 2004 series of I'm a celebrity...Get me out here alongside Kerry Mcfadden and John Lyndon.It was in the jungle that she met ex-popstar Peter Andre who she is now married to. On this show Jordan re-invented herself as Katie Price. Since I'm a celebrity Katie is more famous for being a celebrity mum. Katie is married to singer Peter Andre who she met on I'm a celebrity..Get me out of here. She has three children: two boys and one girl : Harvey who's father is footballer Dwight York and Junior and Tiaamii with Peter Katie has released a few books to date -: Angel - This was Katie's first novel released in 2006.It's about a model named Angel. I have not yet read this book but I plan to as soon as possible. Crystal - This is Katie's second novel which I have read. It was released in the summer 2007 .I enjoyed this book and couldn't out it down - It only took me two days to read! Being Jordan - This was Katie's first autobiography.In this book she talks about her childhood and of course her days as Jordan. Jordan : A whole New World - Katie's second autobiography.I love this book and was sad when it ended.I think it's much better than her first autobiography.In this book she talks about life after I'm a Celebrtiy and her life with Pete.It's very interesting.I recommend reading it! She also has a few children's books about ponies.In 2008 she will be releasing her new autobiography which she has said is a diary of her life. She will also be releasing some more children's books in 2008 about mermaids.
Music * She released a single and an album with her husband Peter Andre.The single and album were both called ' A whole New World'. The song is a cover of a Disney song.The album went in at number 20 in the UK album chart. The money made from the album went towards children's charities because it's a cause they feel strongly about because Katie's son Harvey is disabled. Katie also tried for the 2005 Eurovision.She appeard on the 'making your mind up' alongside Javine (who she didn't get along with) and Andy Scott-Lee ( Lisa from Steps' brother).Katie finished behind Javine. Katie also has her own jewellry range , models underwear , is the face of fox's bingo , and this year's mum of the year as well as being a model,author and singer. She also has her own perfume which was released in the summer of 2007 called Stunning. Katie and Peter had their own reality show called ' Katie and Peter : The next chapter' which followed them around for a few months.They also had a reality show called ' The Baby Diaries' which followed Katie through her pregnancy with her daughter Tiaamii. The couple have recently finished filming their chat show , Katie and Peter : Unleashed which proved to be a hit with the British Public.
Katie Price has changed since her ' Jordan' days where she used to be out partying most nights. Since meeting Pete she has proved what a good mother she is really is. Katie is a regular in gossip/celebrity magazines such as heat , now , new and star magazine often on the front covers. Pete also has a column in New magazine called 'Pete's planet'. Katie's sister Sophie Price has her own column in Bliss magazine.
Katie Price released her fitness video in 2005. She is joined by fitness instructor Richard Callender. I bought this DVD for £2.99 from my local charity shop. Running time of the DVD is 79 minutes.
There are eight sections to the workout :
Introduction : Here Katie talks about why she decided to do this DVD and tells us a bit of information about the workout.
Tips and Techniques : Here Richard (the instructor) gives us tips such as on the routine and tips such as make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the workout.
Getting Warm: This is the warming up section. This consists of kicking and punching to get warmed up.
Pulsator : This section gets your heart pumping and your pulse racing which is , I expect why they named this section pulsator. I got a bit sweaty and out of breath during this section.
Push it : This section is focused on the muscles and is all about toning up. All muscles are used in this section ; arms , legs , stomach…every muscle!
Hard Core : This section is all about using your stomach muscles and toning them up.
Cool It : This is the cool down.
Yummy : Here Katie is joined by nutritionist Jason Vale. Here they talk about nutrition and diet tips.
I'm quite a fan of Katie , and this is what inspired me to buy this fitness DVD. I definitely wasn't disappointed with it either!
One thing I like about this workout is that it is an all-body-workout which is something I wanted , not just something that toned the arms and legs ; I wanted something that toned all of my body.
Another thing which I liked about this DVD is the fact that there is a 'timer' on the corner of the screen which tells you how many minutes there are left of this section. I thought this was a really good idea , because I'm the type of person who gets bored easily and am always like 'how long is there left?' whereas I could see how long was left exactly when watching this clock. I found it to be a really good motivator. I also found that because I was having so much fun , the time flew by and it didn't feel like I was doing a workout , although the next day I could definitely tell that I had worked out the previous day.
I liked how Katie moaned throughout this DVD as I myself was moaning quite a bit too. I thought this was good because it shows that celebs use the 'no-pain-no-gain' rule when working towards their 'perfect bodies'. This also motivated me because I was moaning about my muscles aching whilst doing this workout , and really wanted to stop doing the workout , but the fact that Katie was moaning too yet was still carrying on with it motivated me to carry on with it. Obviously Katie had to carry on with it though , otherwise she would have looked a bit stupid if she had done the first half of it and then moaned and said 'I'm giving up!' and didn't continue with the rest of the DVD. What I'm saying is that it is good that she carried on with it because it motivated me too….oh I sound so silly now…I know what I mean if anyone else doesn't! !! hehe!
I really liked the pink set as it was really girlie!
One thing I didn't like about the workout was the instructor ; he was so full of himself and in love with himself! He isn't even that good looking! I don't know how many times he repeated himself. Yes , instructors do tend to repeat things quite often on fitness DVD but he was repeating himself far too often which was very annoying!
I did enjoy this workout although I didn't really find it that challenging. I thought it was a really good workout for a bit of light exercise. It's quite weird really because when your working out you don't feel like your working very hard , but you definitely can feel it after the workout. It definitely worked my muscles , but I found there were too many 'on-the-spot' routines and not a lot of jumping around all over the place! But it was nice just to work out …I wouldn't' say calmly but not too wild either. The routines weren't that difficult to pick up either which was a bonus , because with fitness videos with difficult routines , I usually get frustrated because I can't do them and then switch the TV off. It was nice not having to concentrate on the routine too much , and I was able to have fun too because it wasn't too serious like other DVDs. Although I'm sure even if you weren't concentrating that well , it would have been hard not to know what you were doing , because of the instructor and his constant repeating of himself.
One thing I found quite funny was how out-of-place Katie looks on the DVD. I don't know if it's because I'm not used to seeing her exercising , but she looked as though she was on another planet. Another dig at Katie I'm afraid (I am a big fan of hers though) ; I thought she looked quite bored during the workout and I thought that she was relying too much on the instructor. She does her fair share of posing too! I suppose she is a model after all ; perhaps she thought she was on a photo shoot! She also looked a bit 'shy' in her outfit and was constantly tugging at it! She looked like a fish out of water. Ok that's the end of my picking-at-Katie bit!
I watched the nutrion part of the DVD ; I did find it interesting , but didn't really concentrate too much on it , as I knew I wouldn't stick to the diet! I did pick up a few good tips though!
I would say that this is one of the best celebrity fitness DVDs I've tried! I definitely recommend it!

...section at the end where Jordan is joined by author Jason Vale where he talks about healthy eating and nutrition and you're given the recipe for a smoothie that Jordan drinks. All of the sections are really great and you can really feel it working as you're doing it and, if you overdo it, you'll really feel it the next day! The only disadvantage to this DVD is the Hard Core section for the stomach. I don't think this works too well. Throughout the workout Jordan makes her usual funny comments which also makes it enjoyable to watch as you're exercising. Advantages: Works you hard without killing you! Disadvantages: Obviously not suitable for anyone who is easily annoyed by Jordan!
When I bought the Jordan Workout, I was mocked by my boyfriend and got some odd looks from friends, but it really is a lot better than I ever expected.
The instructor seems to know what he's doing, and he's encouraging. Jordan doesn't actually speak much, which means you can concentrate on what you're doing.
As far as the exercises themselved go, there's a lot of punching and lunging (the warm up is pretty much all punching), and it does get your ... ...about the workout is that Jordan does seem preoccupied in her clothes and hair. I suppose this is to be expected really. There's a costume change every time she gets a chance, and none of them are exectly gym wear! You get a pretty good view of her chest when she does press ups, and she's the only person I know who would wear a skirt to do sit ups!
So, in the end, this is a good workout for beginners, or for someone who wants a not-so-hardgoing ...

...workout dvd and found the Jordan Workout on offer (£7.97) from amazon.
It arrived the next day so I decided to do it shortly after i got in from work.
The dvd is broken down into 5 sections,
Getting warm.
This is basically a boxercise warm up. it lasts around 10 minutes
Pulsator.
Some stretches boxercise, skipping, squats and kicks (lots of fun) lasting 15 minutes.
Push it.
More squats, lunges, press ups and leg lifts lasting 15 minutes.
... ...go down quite quicky.
Jordan is not annoying at all, i think she does ok in the workout, but you are better of to follow the instructor as she goes for the easier option a lot. Her outfits are quite fun too.
I recommend it as it wont push you too hard but will bring you out in a sweat. :) ...

I bought the jordon workout dvd for £3.99 from play.comand i really enjoyed the dvd they say you can choose the amout you do but i dont think its that hard to do the whole workout it only takes an hour and its fun.The only thing i didnt like was that she needed to change her outfit at every section of the dvd. The trainer was very good and his attitude always kept me going. I have not been doing it very long but i can feel myself toning up a bit ...
