John Mayer - Any Given Thursday DVD

Advantages: Excellent for War Fans!

...see Chris developing friendships and enemies within the ranks, being confronted with the shock of combat, the disillusionment of the order of command and the moral questions about war and acceptable practices within it. It isn't overly explicit in its presentation of events instead making good use of the viewer's imagination on what is seen. Given the age of the movie I wasn't expecting to see anything brilliant in this movie but after viewing it I can now understand what the hue and cry about the film as an all time great is about. William Dafoe played his part magnificently with the other stars, Charlie Sheen, Tom Berenger, Kevin Dillon and Johnny Depp playing their roles adequately. DVD extras on the movie were basic and not noteworthy. If you were going to watch any war movie on Vietnam I'd say this is the one to watch. Hart's War... Read review

Advantages: i realy like it alot

John Brenda Strong .... Mary Alice Young have to admit, Desperate Housewives is my personal favourite on TV today. This show is definitely amazing and the girls are incredible. The storylines are beautifully written and the cliff-hangers are well deserved. I am totally hooked on this show that I cant seem to get enough. Bree Van De Kamp is my personal favourite and I hope that she gets a life sometime. LOL! Desperate Housewives is an original and truly entertaining show. Advantages: funny, gorgeous, with a STORY
Disadvantages: none that come to mind

.... It also brings to light that Channel 4's advertising is ridiculous. Each episode when viewed on telly is an hour long, but on DVD, without breaks, only 40 minutes long. But to my mind, this is perfect- watch an episode while you get ready in the morning, while the kids are down for a nap, or in your lunchbreak if you have one of those portable doo-dahs! ***Availability etc*** With 22 episodes, loads of extras, and the utter watchability, the asking price of £21.97 on Amazon is perfectly acceptable, if not, fantastic. You can also buy a copy from Amazon marketplace for 18.99, or maybe even cheaper from eBay.
