Cynthia found out she was pregnant in July 1962 and the pair was married on the 23rd of August 1962. This book is really her story, the story of her life with John, and it is fascinating. She has lived through Beatlemania with him, and as such, she has something to tell that many other biographies couldn't. I don't pretend to have a vast knowledge of the life of John Lennon and all its meanders, but there was little in this book that was totally new to me. So where does the appeal of the book lie? Cynthia's prose is easy to read, flows well but is not so literary that it takes away from the story itself. You really get a feel for the atmosphere of those days, from ...

His Acting Talent Is Getting Out Of Reach

Advantages: Not much, Average performances
Disadvantages: filming by numbers, poorly thought out, formulaic script

I seem to be a sucker for Steven Seagal films. My mum?s a huge fan and as a result we always seem to get his latest straight to DVD release. Of course once they are in the house I usually end up watching them, cause lets face it I?ll pretty much watch everything. I had been seriously disappointed with his last film especially after the great films he made in the early 90?s. He seems to have totally lost the standard he set with films like Under Siege of course that?s probably more down to the roles he has chosen since. This time Seagal plays Billy Ray Lancing, an ex covert agent turned survivalist. No real surprise there really, he always seems to be an ex this or former that. This time he?s been sponsoring a young girl through a foster program. When she suddenly stops writing to him Billy Ray starts to become a little suspicious as ...

If you don't own Imagine by John Lennon,you really need to buy it

Advantages: Beautiful, though-provoking, catchy, meaningful
Disadvantages: More commercial than The Plastic Ono Band

'Imagine' is one album that I will never be tired of hearing. The title track is quite possibly the best song ever written. The whole album is wonderful and no song lets the album down at all. 'Imagine' the album is brilliantly constructed, powerful and consistently catchy. John Lennon is rock music's biggest tragedy, but it's important to think about him in what he achieved in his life. Imagine is a very personal album, he really his spilling his soul in many of his song, especially Jealous Guy. Track-by-track 1) Imagine is such a beautifully simple song, with such inspiring lyrics and a dreamy tune it's easily one of the best ever written. 2) Crippled Inside flows so well from Imagine, starting with 15 seconds or so of gentle yet upbeat acoustic guitar.
