John Jacobs - Faults And Cures (DVD)

John Jacobs - the golf genius - unfortunately this DVD isn't as genius.

When I first watched this DVD, I was eagerly anticipating some helpful tips to improve my game...however, I was too busy in fits of laughter to take it seriously.

When you place this DVD in your DVD player, the first thing that greets you is a hilarious into scene, depicting classic upper-class sports such as boules, horse polo and randomers driving ...
...your fingers crossed, hoping that John is going to sort out all your golfing worries.
Admittedly the advice is good and John certainly knows the game inside out, but you'll only notice the good advice once you and your mates have stopped rolling on the floor laughing.
Picture quality is terrible, fashion sense abysmal.
(John does include some cracking comments none the less)

When you place this DVD in your DVD player, the first thing that greets you is a hilarious into scene, depicting classic upper-class sports such as boules, horse polo and randomers driving golf caddies around the idyllic resort. Of course, there is also some classic cheezy music to accompany the scene.

So, once you've got over the laughter, a celebrity gives the spoken introduction....the celebrity being Sean Connery!

Yes, it really is as bad as it sounds.

So....once you've reached the actual advice part, you've got your fingers crossed, hoping that John is going to sort out all your golfing worries.

I felt quite deceived to be honest with you. If you look at the picture of the front cover of the DVD, it looks smart, new and professional, but once you switch it on, you can't be blamed for thinking he's recorded it on a camera phone in his back garden.

The advise is OK but I'd certainly suggest that you look elsewhere for advice. The cheezy music and terrible picture quality make it more of a joke than anything else.
