I met Joe Strummer once. It was in 1989 and he was signing copies of his solo album Earthquake Weather in a record shop in Glasgow. I wasn't a huge Clash fan but my sister's boyfriend at the time was. I was the only person he knew able to take time out at lunchtime to attend so I turned up, a...

have to say punk passed me by. My only recollections of it was the dance floor at weddings, quickly cleared by young people with a demonic logo on their leather jackets (which I later discovered was the symbol for the band 'Crass') and a likewise scowl on their faces, the heaving moronic mass of...

I am a big Clash/Joe fan and could not wait to see this long awaited film. Saw it at a small theatre when it was firsrtrelease.dThe advantage of the dvd is that you can fast forward through the bits when the 'stars' like Bono say there bit. This is worth getting for the extra's where proper friends of Joe get to speak. Overall movie put together well loved the animation of some of Joe's drawings and childhood footage.

Anyone interested in the clash, joe strummer, or even the punk movement in general is going to love this movie. it is...
