Some of you who are reading this may already know who Jillian Michaels is, for those who do not, she is an American personal trainer who found fame as one of the trainers on the American version of the Biggest Loser. She is well known for her hard workouts and evil attitude, as well as the amazing results she gets from people.
When I found that she had her own range of DVD's I was more then willing to give them a try, as I have recently lost weight and want to tone up a bit. I went on Amazon and found a selection of her DVD's. One of the ones I have bought is called 6 Week 6 Pack and is basically a workout designed to work your abs and your core.
Just the stomach Jillian has is enough of an advert to make me want to buy this DVD! I was quite excited to try this DVD when it arrived.
There is 3 levels of workouts on this DVD, with Level 1 being the lowest and the best one to start with. Do not be thinking that level 1 means it is easy though, it really isn't!! I found that the workout was a bit of a challenge to start with, although you do soon get used to it and eventually progress up to level 2 and then one day level 3.
Jillian and 2 other women are on this DVD and they show you different variations of each workout move that can be done to make it either a little bit easier for beginners, or a little bit harder for those who are a bit more advanced, but are not yet ready to move up to the next level. Each move is explained well, so even those brand new to working out should pick this up quickly.
There is moves for cardio burning and stretching in this DVD as well, which makes it a much better workout than just doing crunches or other types of ab workouts. You can really feel it working as you go through, and the different ranges of moves and motions really makes me feel like all my muscles are working in my core, including my back, not just my stomach.
Each workout lasts about 30 mins, or there about, and it tends to go past quite quickly. I definatley build up a sweat whilst doing these workouts, and just doing this DVD about 3 times a week, I soon started to see a difference in my stomach and I hope to keep going all the way into level 3, although level 2 is scary enough!!
If you want to tone up your stomach, without gym trips and expensive equipment, this may be just what you are looking for. You can do this workout in the comfort of your own home, and being only a 30 minute workout, most people could fit this into their day at some point. It really is a great way to get your tummy in shape and get your butt kicked all at the same time!
Like I said earlier, I got my copy of this DVD from the Amazon website, but you can also buy it in HMV and on other online stores. I found that Amazon is the cheapest supplier of it, and you can get free shipping too when bought from Amazon, which is not offered on all other sites I found this DVD on. I paid just over £5 for this DVD, which I think is wonderful value for money, as it will just keep on going and it is such a cheap investment in your own health and wellbeing.
I give this DVD a 5 out of 5 stars, and I think that everyone who is looking for a more toned stomach should at least try this DVD. The results will speak for themselves.
