INTENSIVE UPPER BODY
You will need a chair for this section. Again, Jen waffles on far too much about each exercise and by this point I really want to scream! We do various exercises such as raising our legs in the air, tricep dips and press ups. Not very exciting and as we do hardly any reps at all it hardly seems worth the effort.

This DVD looked quite interesting and different to the usual ones on the market because it seemed to feature a lot of dancing which I enjoy doing. I bought the DVD from Ebay quite cheaply and I am currently about to sell it back onto Ebay as unfortunately it was a huge disappointment.
The DVD consists of three 30 minute workouts each focusing on a different area of the body with a warm up, a dance routine, an intensive toning workout and a cooldown.
WARM UP Jen and 2 female dancers are on what looks like a stage in tight black outfits, Jennifer's breasts are practically falling out of her top and I wonder why she has not invested in a sports bra. Anyhow, we go through some basic stretches and gentle movements with Jen taking us through each exercise in far too much detail pausing between each one to inform us exactly how many of each exercise we are going to be doing. This is extremely annoying as I just want to get on with it and not keep stopping just to listen to her explain why a head roll is so important - arghhh!!!! I grit my teeth and get on with it willing her to keep quiet. The music is terrible, well thats if you can call it music, it just sounds like a tinkering piano to me with no tune whatsoever. This section did not make me feel remotely warmed up and I was left dreading what else was in store for me....
HIGH ENERGY UPPER BODY Jen is now on the same stage with her chereographer who looks confused as to what she is doing there. She takes us through each dance movement one by one repeating them over and over until the dance routine is complete. I am unsure as to how this is working the arm muscles but am hoping I am just being picky. The moves are quite fun and if you like dance you may enjoy this section. However if you are not a fan of dancing then I really wouldn't bother doing it as you will just get confused. From a cardiovascular point of view, it does not raise your heart rate very much - although Jennifer keeps insisting she is hot and sweaty - hmmmm.......
INTENSIVE UPPER BODY You will need a chair for this section. Again, Jen waffles on far too much about each exercise and by this point I really want to scream! We do various exercises such as raising our legs in the air, tricep dips and press ups. Not very exciting and as we do hardly any reps at all it hardly seems worth the effort.
HIGH ENERGY CORE STABILITY The chereographer is back to talk us through another dance routuine. Pretty much the same as before except apparantly now we are working our core muscles...can't see how, but what do I know! Again, the music is rubbish with just a basic beat in the background - now not sure about anyone else but if I'm dancing I at least except a good rhythm so I can get into it. The whole section is just as boring as the others and I am ready to switch it off.
INTENSIVE BUMS AND TUMS This section focuses on stomach crunches, obliques, leg raises, back extensions and bum lifts. Not a bad section actually but it would be a whole lot better if there were more reps on each exercise as just when you are getting into it, they stop and move on.
HIGH ENERGY LOWER BODY Another dance routine from Jen and the chereographer, quite a nice little dance but again, unless you're a fan of dancing you may just want to skip it and having to go over each move again and again can get extremely tedious.
INTENSIVE LOWER BODY This section is all about floor work such as leg stretches which I find boring. This isn't really about toning, it's more about increasing flexibility and strength, which is great if that's what you're looking for, but I'm looking to tone up!! Apparantly these exercises will elongate and lengthen your legs.
COOL DOWN Jen says that now our heart rate is ready to come down (not sure mine actually went up at all!?!!), This section goes on forever with loads of stretching, stupid moves and breathing exercises.
EXTRAS If you're up for another dance routine then there's a bonus one led by Jen and the 2 dancers (the chereographer had obviously had enough). There is also a behind the scenes look at Jen filming the exercises and having her make up touched up. She also talks us through some diet advice, such as avoiding alcohol (I don't think so!), avoiding carbs (yeah right) and not eating sausage rolls!!! Not being funny but I could have worked that out for myself thanks. She also talks about how much she loves dancing and how many awards she has won. Yawn.
OVERALL I would not recommend this DVD unless you are a huge fan of Jennifer Ellison, or unless you enjoy light dancing that will not remotely burn any fat. If you are serious about losing weight and toning up then do not under any circumstances buy this DVD. It is a waste of money and a waste of time. Advantages: Well it's easy Disadvantages: Not a workout, no use if you're looking for exercise!
...not that fit nowadays!)
Jennifer doesn't actually teach the routines, a choreographer does with Jen following along in the background.
They stop and start throughout every routine, adding in a couple of steps until eventually you've got the whole thing - they'll run through it once and then it's the next routine.
I didn't feel like any of my muscles were really getting used, nor could I see how, from many of the moves, any of them were supposed ...
