I have just finished watching this and almost kickboxed my T.V. How dare they deny such a wonderful creature the chance to feast on such stupid fecking idiots. But that's giving away the plot, so I'll shut up.
Made in 2003 as a sequel to (you've guessed it) Jeepers Creepers, it was also directed by Victor Salva who has had a hand in a shit load of crap films.
This wasn't too useless, and I preferred it to the original, which had a really bloody annoying tattoo in it (unfortunately we catch a glimpse of the sodding thing in this demon munch fest).
The one saving grace is the presence of Jonathan Breck who plays The Creeper (photo of actor below) who in my opinion is worth one with or without slap on.
Here's a quick preview of the story, which I won't spoil for you too much, as it's worth watching these tosspots screaming for yourself.
Every 23rd spring for 23 days a demonic-like creature wakes up from where hence he's kipping, and gets to eat some people. This film is set on the 23rd day itself and revolves around a bus-load of chew-worthy basketball players and their cheerleaders.
They become stranded as a result of the wheels on the bus going BANG BANG BANG.
Due to the fact that one of girls (blonde and seriously in need of being eaten) suddenly developpes (<<<Is this how you spell it?) psychic powers, by falling into a trance and seeing other human entrees the demon has chowed on (which is stretching the plot to fecking stupidity), we get to realise that The Creeper is infact responsible for disabling the bus. Although the scene where the so called adults on the trip also find a wickedly sharp four-edged weapony thing (I don't know what you call it) in the wheels, may give us a clue.
Prior to this predictable shite, our friendly winged-one kidnaps a young boy from a farm for breakfast, inspiring his father and older dumber brother to give chase, after creating a spear-attatched-to-rope weapon on their crapped out joloppi.
The demon begins to help himself to lunch from the bus (all the adults thank crap) leaving the youngsters screaming, panicking, terrorised and fighting with each other.
The little blonde visionary sort explains to everyone that this monster is picky about who he wants to digest, which tears loyalties to their furthest points, and sees the kids struggling to survive by occasionaly back-stabbing each other.
That's it for plot, otherwise you'll be moaning at me for ruining your viewing pleasure, and we can't have that can we.
The acting was superbly hammed to justify cheese, pickle and a baguette, but it's actually quite entertaining in a throw popcorn at the screen kind of way. Not all the actors were pish though, so some talent was visible through-out.
The effects weren't too worthy of a toilet bowl, and I actually think the Creeper looks attractive, if you don't mind really sharp teeth and a big hat. To be honest it was mostly a make-up job in this film, as there weren't too many light sabers or explosions going on (there were NO light sabers - get the gist will you).
The ending pissed me off, for reasons I shall not explain for fear of spoiling the whole experience for those who haven't seen this. But I will say there's no way the dude with the doo-dah pointed at the thing would ever survive a sequel.
Overall it wasn't too awful, and it should be seen at least once if you've watched the first one. I recommend you view this late at night, on your own, with no lights on, especially if you're easily scared.
The DVD is in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen (you can explain this to me if you like), but basically it's got the irritating black bits at the top and bottom, and has Dolby Digital 5.1 sound.
Special features are as follows:
2 commentary tracks. One which includes Victor Salva, and focuses on the film concept and production, which personally bored me to suicide, but which you may enjoy (I endured this for you so shut it). And the second which includes Jonathan Breck, and focuses on creature effects (I liked this bit).
The making of Jeepers Creepers 2. Salva again boasting about inspirations and a load of other tosh which could be interesting if you have insomnia, or if you actually enjoy behind the scenes peeky-poos. This has a good section on a third eye view of the filming, so knock yourself out.
Deleted scenes. I won't spoil this for you, although some are way better than others. Judge for thou self. Worth a gander.
Deleted storyboard scenes. These never actually made it onto the celluloide (<<<is that right?), but you can eyeball them on paper. Yaaaaawn.
2 still galleries. Scenes, photos, etc...at this point I was beginning to lose my reviewing raggy patience, which is fortunate because that's the end of the extras selection.
I hope this review has helped in some way to inspire you to watch this horror, but if it hasn't then you can blame the swearing as per fecking usual.

Signing out...
