. I felt disappointed after watching this film last week, when people asked me about this sequel the more I dislike it “wait for it on video” I would tell everyone, I think that after seeing the first one, which I thought was excellent with plenty of chills, this one just doesn’t hold up to it.
The sequel opens on the Taggart family farm, when Billy the youngest of the family is doing his chores in the cornfield. He glances to the side and notices the scarecrow next to him appears to turn it’s head towards him, and then away. As he approaches the scarecrow, the scarecrow moves again and Billy takes off running towards his father and older brother. The Creeper leap from it’s perch and follows him. His Father and his brother run towards Billy when they see someone or something in a long dark outfit dragging the terrorfied Billy like a rag doll through the cornfield, the Father and older brother watch helplessly as the creeper spreads it’s bat like wings and takes to the air.
We see more of the Taggart family throughout the film as he trys to track down the Creeper.
In the second opening, which initiates the main story, A bus of high school students are making they’re way home after winning a basketball game and they just happen to be on the highway that the original Jeepers Creepers took place in. This is the 23rd day to which the Creeper goes on an eating frenzy before going back in to hibernation.
So with a bus- load of basketball players, their cheerleaders and their coaches, the Creeper is planning to make meals out of them. The Creeper takes a home-made throwing star a dagger like weapon and punctures not one but eventually two tyres, so not going anywhere the creeper starts picking off one by one.
Now back to why I felt disappointed with this film well first of all when a film is set on a bus, there isn’t much to see that is particulary interesting, they bicker whether it will be safer to stay on the bus or whether to get off the bus, whether they should stay at this end of the bus or the other end of the bus. Then there’s a black vs white friction happening on the bus, while a cheerleader suddenly becomes psychic.
Also at one part in the film there’s about 20 kids that run off the bus 1 of them gets killed and 2 of them stay behind with him. The other 18 kids keep on running, where did they all go? you see a couple more of them near the end of the film but we are left to wonder what happened to the rest of them .
The ending is very silly and there’s not any strong characters in the film.
