who enjoyed the 2001 original. While establishing the flesh-eating "Creeper" as a new horror icon with frantic action and more elaborate special effects, writer-director Victor Salva follows the traditional formula, dispensing with plot almost altogether and focusing entirely on threat, menace, mayhem, and gore. That's likely to disappoint horror fans hoping for a more revealing exploration of the Creeper's origins (room for another sequel, perhaps?) and by trapping nondescript teens in a school bus attacked by the Creeper, Salva severely limits the movie's overall potential. Still, there's something to be said for straightforward shocks andJeepers Creepers 2delivers enough of them to justify its profitable existence. --Jeff Shannon

Advantages: The film is fairly interesting, 104 minutes elapse extremely quickly here. Disadvantages: Not scary, not particularly original, and certainly not the best sequel in the world.

It's not as good as the original I feel, still however it's a decent film from Victor Salva and one that I have now watched a number of times. The plot line is predictable, the film doesn't follow on particularly well from the original, still however I find 'Jeepers Creepers 2' to be interesting and enjoyable.
Set a few days after the original film, 'Jeepers Creepers 2' tells the tale of a high school basketball team returning home after a big Championship game. They become stranded on the East 9 Highway after two wheels of their coach get suddenly punctured; one after the other. As well as the basketball players, cheerleaders and the coaches are also present here and one of the cheerleaders has been having strange dreams. She has dreamt that a strange being is following them and has deliberately thrown sharp objects at the wheels in order to halt the coach in its tracks. This is no ordinary dream, what she has here dreamed about is truly happening; every 23 years the Creeper awakens in order to feast on human flesh and he is here targeting this coach load of people to be his next victims.
The appeal of the original I feel is that it's not until quite late on the film that you see what the Creeper actually looks like. It's mysterious and you watch in great anticipation as slowly more and more is revealed about the Creepers identity. With 'Jeepers Creepers 2' we already know what the Creeper looks like and there is therefore not this element present here. Right from the word go we get to see the Creeper, the appearance is instant and this second film therefore loses much of the edge of the original. Although the mystery is all but gone here, this in turn means that we see more of the Creeper in action and there is resultantly a lot more action than there ever was with the first film. It's swing and roundabouts really, personally I much prefer the original film but still 'Jeepers Creepers 2' takes an interesting angle and provides for an excellent viewing experience. It's by no means a classic horror film, it does however provide for an excellent 104 minutes of entertainment. It's action packed and the film therefore doesn't seem very long at all, always the on screen action keeps you enthused and holds your full undivided attention.
'Jeepers Creepers 2' is not a horror film to be taken seriously, it's a bit of light-hearted fun and if you watch it expecting a scare then the film will no doubt disappoint. The film contains a large degree of humour I feel, it's not a comedy horror film however it definitely possesses a large amusement factor about it. A number of scenes you certainly wont be able to take at all seriously, and the film definitely doesn't provide for any scares. The film plays with horror conventions, it doesn't utilise them to provide for tense or horrific scenes but it does use them in order to compel. There's never a dull moment with 'Jeepers Creepers 2', it's predictable and doesn't unveil any shocking twists but still it is done well and remains interesting throughout.
The basketball team on the bus are not a particularly likeable bunch, you don't really feel for them and ultimately don't care too much about what happens to them. I feel that this is sometimes better than liking them with horror films sometimes though as you enjoy it more when bad things happen to them without having to feel any sort of sense of loss. We warm to no one particularly and really we're not meant to, we learn little about the characters and to us as viewers these people are really quite dispensable. The film is enjoyable but there is little emotional attachment here, the plot progression is interesting and visually 'Jeepers Creepers 2' excites; cerebrally however we feel very little. This film is not about being intellectually engaging, it provides for an enjoyable viewing experience but is certainly not designed to make you think.
As well as the angle of the students on the bus, a farmer and his two sons are also drawn into the equation here. The film actually begins on the farm where one of the farmers sons is taken as prey by the Creeper. Although much of the film is spent purely with those from the bus, the farmer and his remaining son arrive late on in order to exhibit their revenge on the Creeper. It's an interesting element of the film, not particularly inspired however and little here really happens. The film as a whole is quite interesting, it does not provide for compelling viewing from start to finish however and all in all is really quite an average affair. It's an entertaining but ultimately entirely forgettable film which serves a purpose of providing a little light entertainment without ever going any deeper than this.
'Jeepers Creepers 2' was the last released film in the series, for several years now though there have been rumours of a third emerging. I never thought there would be a third but it would seem that one may well appear. The film has an intended title of 'Jeepers Creeper 3: The Creeper Walks Among Us' and if rumours are to be believed then the film may well bring back characters from the first two films in the series. As a third film is yet to emerge I can't yet comment, what I will say however is that 'Jeepers Creepers 2' is definitely worth a viewing. It's not the best film you will ever see but certainly isn't a bad one either. The 104 minute run time of the film is absolutely perfect and I personally find this film to be greatly enjoyable even if it is hugely predictable. You may not want to watch this too many times so it might be worth renting rather than outright purchasing, still though I would definitely recommend giving 'Jeepers Creepers 2' a viewing. Expect this film to be predictable yet fun and you will be entertained, watch this with the view of it providing a scare however and you will not.

Advantages: It works in its own right Disadvantages: Lacks elements of the first film
Jeepers Creepers was one of the most successful horror films of recent years. It was never a film that particularly impressed me because I felt that it was two films stitched together (rather clumsily) in the middle. It was inevitable that a sequel would be made though. The first movie took so much money, that a follow-up was really just a license to print money.
A few days after the events of the first film, a farmer and his two sons are out tending ... ...to be the case. So Jeepers Creepers 2 is an entirely different film to the first. The second film is a good old-fashioned tale of “hunter and prey.”
What this means, of course, is that the teenagers in the film have to be put in a vulnerable position as quickly and as perilously as possible. The adults are quickly removed from the picture, radio communications disabled and any means of escape of defence limited to the rather wobbly old ...

...to the appalling review of Jeepers Creepers 1 - seemed kinda promising, and because, being a bit of a gore whore, I wanted to see some carnage.
I got carnage alright, but not in the way that I was hoping.
For the sake of curiosity, I'll outline the plot, as much to see myself just how and where this perfectly acceptable franchise idea went so badly wrong, as for your information.
This film is set a few days after the gore of the first film, which ... ...Braddock) started his career in Jeepers Creepers 2' or 'Nicki Lynn Aycox's (premonition-dreaming cheerleader Minxie Hayes) acting in Jeepers Creepers 2 started her on the way to great things'. Ray Wise is good as angry cliched farmer, hell-bent on revenge for his son's death, just about saving his character from the ruts that most of the rest of them fell into. The aforementioned Nicki Lynn Aycox is probably the standout teen thanks to her fitfull ...

...hoping for something damn good. Jeepers Creepers 2 to me was one of the most eagerly awaited films of the summer. I’ll be the first to admit that I thought that the first film was an absolute pile of crap but I thought that this would be good for comical value. From the trailer I had no high expectations thinking myself that it was rather cheesy with its slogan “FEED YOUR FEAR” – running through my head was the slogan feed your laughter! Then I thought ... ...me “You’re going to see Jeepers Creepers 2?? It’s a pile oh Sh*te!!” Great I thought to myself I’ve just spent £4.25 to see a pile of sh*te! Then I thought of the ticket man and said to myself “Great way to bloody advertise!!” Then I rejoined my group who were all moaning about being asked their age and off we went into the cinema. We played the usual guess the advert game (We’ve noticed that the adverts are in the same order in every film) and eagerly ...

...sequel won’t be far behind. Jeepers Creepers was an effective little horror flick with some good scares and a first half that actually worked very well in creeping out its audience. Sadly the film tailed off in the second half once the villain was fully revealed but it was still a fun ride. Now the villain of the film was called The Creeper, a strange demon like figure who would come out of hibernation every 23rd spring and eat for 23 days. With ... ...methods rather than pandering to the target audience.
I would say that Jeepers Creepers 2 is well worth a rental, it could have been a very bad sequel but it actually turns out to be a solid entry into the genre and one that should please most horror fans. ...

Advantages: Good performances; some decent "boo" scares. Disadvantages: Script; lack of gore; atmosphere never capitalized on.
"Jeepers Creepers 2" is one of those films that get worse the more you think about it. I came out of the theatre upon seeing it over a week ago and thought that it was above average at most. I would tell those who asked me my about on it that it was "alright," nothing more, nothing less. Eventually, however, the more people that asked me, the more negative my response would become. Now it's a "skip it" or "wait for it on video." The more I gave thought ... ...I disliked it. I've read various reviews and no one seemed to hit the nail on the head with this one. It's not so much that it's a bad Horror film, it's just that it doesn't hold up at all to the original. Now, don't think that because I said it wasn't a bad Horror film that it makes it good either. It ends up somewhere in the middle between appalling and average as far as the Horror genre goes. But when compared to the original film, this one certainly ...

I recommend watching this, whether or not you have seen the first film. It is not necessary to have seen the first. I suppose it would help, but there is nothing stopping you enjoying and understanding this any more than someone who has seen the first one before. JeepersCreepers2 is currently airing on Film4, and is available on DVD as long as you have a look around. Recommended. ...

DVD Description
The prehistoric winged slime ball known as the Creeper is back for seconds in JEEPERS CREEPERS II, on an all-you-can-eat binge before hibernating for another 23 years. His first victim is local farm boy Billy Taggert (Shaun Fleming), whose shocked father Jack (wild-eyed Ray Wise) watches, uncomprehending, as his son disappears amidst violently rustling corn husks. The monomaniacal Taggert scours the surrounding area for clues, but the Creeper (Jonathan Breck) has moved onto its next target: a school bus full of basketball players. As jocks Jake Spencer (John Hammond) and Scott Braddock (Eric Nenninger) torment gay high school journalist Izzy Bohen (Travis Schiffner) and clairvoyant cheerleader Minxie Hayes (Nicki Lynn Aycox), the Creeper watches. When the bus breaks down on East 9 Highway, the Creeper pounces, employing supernatural olfactory powers to sniff out the morsels that suit his rather finicky tastes. Token nerd Bucky (Billy Aaron Brown) gets a radio signal over to Taggert, the bereaving dad who is now hellbent on revenge and is carrying the one weapon that may be a match for the evil Creeper. Like the original JEEPERS CREEPERS, director Victor Salva's sequel is several cuts above average horror fare. The director has a demonstrated affinity for classic filmmaking and makes frequent references to THE BIRDS, bringing Hitchcock's quiet dread to a no-holds-barred, adrenaline-boosting horror film modelled after the FRIDAY THE 13TH, NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, and SCREAM series.
