Everyone knows all about Jaws, the great big shark that frightened the beaches and scared all the tourists away from the white beaches of Amity. None of the people of that peaceful town exspected what was going to happen and the town is left with the decsion of either closing the beaches to make sure no more deaths happen but risk loseing money they would need for the winter months or leave it open were more tragedies might occur.
This is really a ground breaking film and a revolution in the film industy at the time of it's relese. it's special effects were like no other of the films created at the time.
it's a really good thriller and keeps you on the edge of your seat awaiting the sharks return to see if the men can defeat the natural beast.
All you have to do here is look at the director of this film and think it'll say it all Steven Spielberg, a great director and has made many terrific movies such as Jurassic Park, Schindler's List all of his movies have been greatly recevied by the movie world and this director has won many awards for his work and this film is no different to the other.
A fantastic film and well worth buying, only flaw is the effects although good for the time are not as good as the movies being made in this day and age.
Special Features consist of the following:
Deleted scenes
Outtakes
'A Look Inside Jaws': a behind the scenes documentary (2 hours!)
'From The Set': an interview with Steven Spielberg from 1974
'Shark Facts': learn more about this fearsome animal with an
interactive 3D Great White shark
Stills gallery
Storyboard to finished film comparison (Opening credits, Kintner boy, Hooper's new future, Original ending)
All of these features are what you would exspect from a 2 disc special edition, and provide a die hard Jaws fan with lots of material to watch
Running Time: 1 Hour and 59 Mins
