James Last - Live At The Royal Albert Hall DVD

Advantages: Two WWF Events for 10.99.
Disadvantages: No extras.

...was the second WWF UK Only Event which was held in London’s famous Royal Albert Hall. Again I only bought this one because I collect WWF/WWE Wrestling merchandise. The Main Event in this one was a 20 man over the top rope Battle Royal. It featured a host of matches such as Ric Flair against Tito Santana, British Bulldog facing The Barbarian, The Undertaker against Hacksaw Jim Duggan, The Mountie facing Texas Tornado, The Nasty Boys against The Rockers, Earthquake facing Big Boss Man and The LOD against Power and Glory. All of the Superstars in the matches above were joined by Typhoon and Rowdy Roddy Piper to compete in the Battle Royal Main Event in the last match. Both events last between 2 and 3 hours. There are no extras included in the DVD. For the price of this double DVD, It is well worth the money but I wouldn’t say either event... Read review

...Basically, this is the Last leg of the 180 date "Mum wants a bungalow tour", playing to a packed Manchester Arena. If you haven't seen "Live at the Bolton Albert Hall", then this is worth a look. If you have seen that performance, don't bother with this. The stand up part is practically identical. The running time for the stand up is 45 minutes. I started watching this and as soon as I got about 5 or 10 minutes into it, I realised I had wasted the best part of £15. The only good part being, I had a gift voucher for £5 which helped ease the pain of wasting the money. The 'fly on the wall' documentary runs longer than the show itself, approx 55 mins. That is enjoyable and to me was the best part of the DVD. It shows humour and frustration and emotions about the tour. The Amarillo alternative video was worth watching, as it showed... Read review

Advantages: Absolutely hilarious, aimed at everyone

...Known to many as the star of the Phoenix Nights and the John Smith adverts, Peter Kay is slowly becoming a household name. This latest DVD is taken from his latest ‘Mum Wants a Bungalow Tour’ and was filmed live in his hometown of Bolton at the Royal Albert Hall. The tour itself lasted nine months, taking in over 300,000 people and still there were many like myself who couldn’t get tickets one of the hundred and eighty performances. The actual DVD starts off slowly with a scene which involves him getting to the venue in a taxi – whilst this made me smile I’m happy to say this was slightly pointless. I’m sure it was aimed at warming us viewers up but the content that was to follow didn’t need such a thing. Thankfully this was the only disappointment.
