Jackie Chan, the world renouned martial arts movie star features in this excellent film. The story follows a lone commando that has been left to die after s brutal CIA double-cross that sent his task group on a mission that was planned to kill them; no evidence of the group was to remain. Luckily Jackie survives but is unlucky enough to have amnesia. Without his memory the CIA do not consider him a threat, but should he start to remember things, he was to become an instant target. His memory has the capability to expose an international espionage ring that are planning to unleash a powerful new energy source that is lethal. Jackie and 2 beautiful sidekicks fight their way across the world, harassed by assasins and attacket by other sinister people involved in the ever deepening ring of espionage.
This film heralds a 12 certificate which is rather good considering the fighting content. The quality of the fights is, as most Jackie Chan films are, superb to the last, and the star also performs all his own stunts including a rather spectacular one involving himself, no harnesses and a rather large building! Along with the fighting scenes there are also some fabulous car chasses that will keep you gripped.
Jackie Chan helps to make this film enjoyable, and funny as well as a martial arts film. His uncanny ability to entertain a wide variety of audience is demonstrated here as this wonderfully written film sees him placed in many different situations ranging from the jungle, parachuting (or rather falling in an attempt to land in one piece!) to the streets of amsterdam and finally to the rooftops for a fabulous final fight scene.
After the film, as there are in many of Jackies films, are the out takes. These are short ( 2 mins) but well worth watching as he proves that even as skilled as he is he can make mistakes. One for instance sees him almost fall of a very tall building.
This film is well worth watching if you like fighting, humour and conspiracy as it has it all. Definatly one to buy and own
