Land Before Time 5 - The Mysterious Island DVD

Advantages: cute characters, good story, good songs too
Disadvantages: is one in a series, ali isn't all that hot

whilst they leave the Great Valley and Littlefoot and his friends decide to take matters in their own hands by crossing the "big water" to an unknown island. At the Big water they encounter an old friend from The Land Before Time DVD number 2, he's called Chomper, the tiny friendly T-rex. Chomper has to protect the gang from his own carnivorous parents, which adds tension to the storyline as they have some really close calls! Plenty of drama in this one, you're sure to enjoy as we all did :) Some fantastic songs, although the graphics and cartoons are pretty much the same as the old style t.v. and video issues. It depends if you prefer this look, although I personally think they could have digitally remastered it a bit more. Of course not to the extent of finding nemo, but perhaps a nice intermediate. Overall a 4 star rating, although ...

Review of The Land Before Time 5 - The Mysterious Island (DVD)

ALL THE LOST SOULS.

Advantages: An album worth owning, though not his strongest.
Disadvantages: A couple of really forgettable tracks.

---JAMES BLUNT- All THE LOST SOULS--- After a three year gap Ex Army Captain, James Blunt brought out his long awaited second album 'All the Lost Souls' in September 2007. This was the follow up to his hugely successful debut album 'Back to Bedlam' which came out in 2004. James Blunt was a refreshing change on the music scene and he was to music in 2004, what Damien Rice was in 2003. James Blunt has his own unique style of Folk/Rock. He is a balladeer and his songs deal with subjects such as: Heartbreak, infidelity, failed relationships and love.- James Blunts album 'All the Lost Souls' hit the shelves in 2007, two weeks after the record company released the single taken from the album entitled '1973'. It didn't do too badly in the charts, but this was more to do with the massive airplay it got and not so much to do ...

Review of All The Lost Souls [ECD] - James Blunt

Lost. Two nil.

Advantages: Well crafted, well acted thriller.
Disadvantages: Originality, soundtrack.

Comparisons are odious, but unfortunately this film invites them. ‘The Exorcist’ set the standard for films about demonic possession. ‘The Omen’ is the classic about the return of Satan to claim his inheritance and ‘Lost Souls’ wants the best of both worlds. It begins with the botched exorcism of a psychiatric patient. During the exorcism the name of the Anti-Christ is revealed to Maya (Winona Ryder) and the film follows her attempts to convince him of the coming Transformation which will occur on his thirty third birthday. The plot then, is not too complex. The real strength of this film is in the characterisation of the main players. Winona Ryder gives a superb performance as a girl teetering on the edge of madness; you can almost feel the pressure. Similarly, Ben Chaplin, who plays Peter ...
