Island Of Fire (Subtitled) (Wide Screen)

Advantages: A brilliant mix of tragedy, romance and adventure.
Disadvantages: Some boring Quiet parts.

...The Beach starring Leonardo Dicaprio is an excellent story about an American tourist who finds a map which leads to a secret Island with a beautiful beach with white sand and clear sea. He then teams up with a French couple to travel to this island. When they arrive they find a field full Marajuwana which is being farmed by a group of men with guns. After they sneak past the dealers the next thing they have to do is jump over a waterfall which is where they are spotted by inhabitants and lead to the village. They are then offered to stay on the island or leave and let the island be a secret. After they choose to stay they learn the way of the people and live in happiness for a while until some more people land on the island. Advantages: Very entertaining
Disadvantages: A little strange and boring at one point

...I didn't think that this film is as good as it was claimed to be by various people. But, it is a good film and I'm glad I watched it. Leo plays a traveller and he meets some weirdo (doped up to his eyeballs) who tells him about a beautiful island with a perfect beach. The next morning he finds a map stuck on his door and the man has killed himself. So he sets out on an adventure to the island with two French travellers. They reach the island and realise it is paradise. But there is a minor problem (I wont tell you what it is, you'll have to watch the film) and Leo gets kicked out of the camp until he resolves it. Now the film turns very strange and Leo's character goes a bit psycho. During this the film turns a little boring. But it soon picks up again, and the settlers on the island face another challenge and decide to leave without... Read review

Advantages: scenery good story

...I have seen this film once and I think it's really good. It's set in thiland and the scenery is amazing. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio and his character is a traveller. He first of all checks in at a hotel place and meets Ducky (robert carlisle), ducky is wierd and tells him about an island off thailand. Leo makes friends with 2 french people and they go to this island. On the island there is a commmunity of people and they keep well out the way of the thailand people who are armed with guns. Leo and the french get in trouble but don't end up dying, the effects are really good and it's one of those films that you don't want to leave until it's finished.... Read review
