I love all of the Indiana Jones movies, so I had to get the box set when it came out and I am now waiting patiently for Indiana Jones last movie (Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) to come out on DVD!

***THE BOX-SET***
This box set is the complete DVD movie collection of all the adventures of Indiana Jones. You get 4 discs in total which includes Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and the 4th Disc is Bonus Material.

***INDIANA JONES AND THE RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK***
This is a 1981 film directed by Steven Spielberg, produced by George Lucas and stars Harrison Ford. This film pits Indiana against the Nazis, who are searching for the Arc Of The Covenant, to make their army invincible. Indiana and the army search for a medallion, owned by Indy's former girlfriend Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen), which will pinpoint the Well Of Souls in Egypt, which is the Arks resting place. The film also co-stars Paul Freeman as Indiana's nemesis, French archaeologist Rene Belloq, John Rhys Davies as Indian's sidekick, Sallah and Denholm Elliot as Indiana's colleague, Marcus Broody.

**ACTORS**

• Harrison Ford plays Indiana Jones and has been in films such as Star Wars, E.T, Blade Runner and more, he was won global globe and other awards.
• Karen Allen plays Marion Ravenwood and has also appeared in Split Image, Starman, Scrooged and more. She won a Saturn Award for the best Actress in this film.
• John Rhys Davies plays Sallah and also appeared in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Living Daylights and provided voices for Aladdin.
• Denholm Elliot plays Marcus Broody and has over 120 major film and TV credits. Denholm has also won Bafta's awards for Best Supporting Actor in 3 films.

This film won 5 Academy Awards for Art Direction, Film Editing, Sound, Visual Effects and Sound Effects Editing.

***OPINION***
From the moment I started watching this film I was enjoying every single second of it. It had adventure, humour and excitement. You never know what could happen next in the film. I didn't want the film to end and I will admit to this day now (I am 23), I could still watch it over and over again. It had fantastic sound and visual effects and all the actors were amazing. This film was so popular it led to three additional films (Temple of Doom, Last Crusade, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as well as The Young Indiana Jones chronicles television series.

***INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM***
This is a 1984 film directed by Steven Spielberg. It was first released on May 23rd, 1984. For this adventure Indiana teams up with a nightclub singer Wilhelmina "Willie" Scott and a twelve year old boy named Short Round. They end up in an Indian small distressed village, where the people believe that evil spirits have taken all their children away after a sacred precious stone was stolen. They also discovered the great mysterious terror surrounding a booby-trapped temple known as the Temple of Doom! Thuggee is beginning to attempt to rise once more, believing that with the power of all five Sankara stones they can rule the world! Now, it's all up to Indiana to put an end to the Thuggee campaign, rescue the lost children, win the girl and conquer the Temple of Doom.

• Amrish Puri plays Mola Ram and has made an appearance in Surya, Shararat, Out Of Control and more films.
• Dr. Akio Matamura plays the Chinese Pilot known as Akio Mitamura and has also appeared in Motorcycle Gang, The Wind & The Lion and more films.
• Jonathan Ke Quan plays Short Round and has appeared in films such as Encino Man, Breathing Fire, The Goonies and more.

***AWARDS***
This film won an Oscar for Best Effects and Best Visual Effects, had 17 Nominations and also won another 4 awards, including a Saturn Award and a BAFTA film award.

***OPINION***
After seeing the first film, this film crept up to the same standards. Harrison Ford is once again amazing as the dashing/archaeologist thrill seeker. Short Round adds a humorous touch and reveals the more compassionate side if Indiana. The mine cart chase scenes are the most amazing, fast moving action sequence in any of the Indiana Jones films. With a brilliant action packed story-line, fantastic visual and sound effects this film is definitely another winner for me.

***INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE***
This is a 1989 film directed of course by Steven Spielberg. It Co-Stars Sean Connery, Julian Glover, Alison Doody and River Phoenix. Indiana Jones returns again to save the world from the Nazis. They have kidnapped Indy's father, Professor Henry Jones, for his diary which contains maps and firsthand accounts of the Holy Grail. The cup that gives eternal life to whoever drinks from it, and that is what the Nazis are after. Indy must make his way through Venice, Nazi Germany and the deserts of Syria in order to save his father and the Holy Grail from the Nazis...

• Sean Connery plays Henry (Indy's father) and is a well known actor appearing as James Bond, and appearing in other films such as Time Bandits, Murder on the Orient Express, A Bridge Too Far and many more well known films.
• Julian Glover plays Walter Donovan and has appeared in many TV shows such as The Avengers, Doctor Who, Blake 7 and more.
• Alison Doody plays Dr. Elsa Schneider and has also appeared in a James Bond film, and various television dramas.
• River Phoenix plays Indiana Jones as a child and has also appeared in I love You To Death, and My Own Private Idaho.

***AWARDS***
This film won an Academy Award for Best Sound Effects editing and it also received nominations for Original Score and Sound but unfortunately lost. Sean Connery received a Golden Globe nomination.

***OPINION***
This is one of my favourite films, there is a lot of humour with Sean Connery and Harrison Ford acting together and throughout the film I was laughing, gasping and smiling. Definitely my top Indiana Jones film for action and adventure and my favourite part is when we see Indiana as a child running away and ending up in a circus train, which is how we come to lean about his fear of snakes! An addictive film, and I was sad to learn it was the last one (until the release of this year's Indiana Jones film!)

***OVERALL OPINION***
This is a perfect collection for any film collectors or if you are like me and love Indiana Jones a bit too much, you have to add this to your collection. Its fantastic value for all 3 films, plus bonus material, which takes you behind the scenes, etc. Not one of these films is a disappointed, there's non-stop action, adventure and humour in every one, and after you've seen them once, you'll want to see them all again . . And again! (Well I did anyway!). The films are a PG which means it can be enjoyed by everyone in the family, although there are a few violent scenes so parents may want to check this out first. But overall a MUST have for your DVD collection!
