Having never seen the previous Indiana Jones movies I was a bit sceptical as to whether this would be any good but I was told by many people that the old films were great & that I should really watch the new one. I knew it was directed by Steve Spielberg who has directed some great films over the years (E.T, Catch me if you can), so I decided to give it a go even if it was mainly just to see what all the fuss was about!
The film starts off with Indiana Jones being caught by a group gun wielding foreigners who are looking for the legendary crystal skull. The group is led by Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett) who along with the group are determined the find the crystal skull at all costs & wont stop until they get it. At the time Indiana Jones is caught he is with his sidekick & good friend Mac (Ray Winstone) who ends up betraying Indiana & siding with the enemy just as they are both on the brink of escaping. From here on it is a race for who can find the crystal skull first. Indiana also tackles some personal issues such as his old lover Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen). Shia LaBeouf puts in another great performance playing Mutt Williams, a young man who is out to save his mother by seeking the help of Indiana Jones & ends up accompanying him on his mission to find the crystal skull. He later finds out that Indiana Jones isn't so much of a stranger to him after all.
Indiana Jones & the crystal skull is a fast paced action packed film that never has a dull moment, whether it be motorbike chases through a university or sword fights on the back of a moving car this movie is extremely entertaining from start to finish. It also has some great comical moments too, with Indiana's dry wit. I would recommend this film to any Indiana Jones fan & even people who have never seen the previous films as I haven't & after seeing the Crystal Skull I plan on buying them purely based on this film as I have heard the others are even better! The 2 disc special edition DVD has some great features such as behind the scenes footage of the film, behind the scenes photos & the movie trailer.

For this to be a full DVD review, I would prefer to see a review of the extras in the same detail as your review of the film, not just a passing mention of them.

You haven't seen the others!! Quick you must rush and and see them , they are wonderful ;-). Your review was ok, but it would be cool to hear more about the directing or the set or something other than the plot and characters for an exceptional rating
