It is a good film, it has a solid story line and good acting. Sometimes, with regard to plot, the writers do get a little excited. But one is willing to overlook certain facts such as a firestorm would occur when the Spacecrafts enter the atmosphere, because otherwise there would be no story line at all. I, personally, love conspiracy things and "cover-ups" and the part where they go to area 51 really got my heart going. The cast, throughout provide solid performances and some of the characters were very credible indeed. The special effects are good too but to be honest you cannot beat the big screen when it comes to block-busters like this. But the DVD does not make a shoddy effort of this, by no stretch of the imagination. The story covers what essentially amounts to a space invasion by some awesomely technologically advanced aliens who launch an attack on our poor little planet. With a $71 million budget and a star cast this film could never go wrong and I'm sure you'll aggree if you buy it
