Meet Mr. Incredible, Elastagirl and their kids Dash, Violet and Jak Jak – together they create the Incredibles. A superhero family.
This is a fun animation by Pixar and Disney. With such recent hits as Finding Nemo, great things were expected by the release of this next venture, and boy was it not a let down.
The background of the story basically goes that Mr. Incredible the ‘coolest’ superhero around falls for Elastagirl, a marriage made in heaven right? But all goes wrong when people they’ve saved start suing for damages, saying, they didn’t want to be saved. All of America’s finest superhero’s are soon finding their jobs redundant and must take new identities from the ‘Superhero Protection Agency’.
The story begins 15 years later when we find the housewife Elastagirl, who wants to forget about all there former exploits, and a Mr. Incredible stuck in a dead-end job about to have a mid-life crisis. They’ve also now got three children, Violet; who can turn invisible and throw up protective shields, Dash; who can run at the speed of light and the loveable baby Jak Jak who doesn’t seem to have any powers. Mr. Incredible drives the whole first half of the movie showing that he hasn’t forgotten about his old ways and wanting things to go back the way they were, but his wife on the other hand seems content with their new life, and is continually urging him to forget about it. He gets his chance when he’s offered one last job as his old way of life, little does he know that the person who’s offered him the job is the evil Syndrome, who Mr. Incredible once rejected as his sidekick, and is now out wanting to destroy all superheros.
Some formidable performances from Holly Hunter as Elastagirl, and a great performance from Samuel L. Jackson, as my favourite character, FroZone.

Going into the cinema I was expecting great things, but that also lead my to believe that I would probably be disappointed. And that this would be another quickly put together movie like so many others out there. But I was wrong, this was a well made movie and I enjoyed it mostly throughout. The story was good, but I wouldn't go so far to say it was anything memorable, and at times you are left hoping that the story isn't going to turn out the way you think it is going, thankfully usually it dosen't, but at parts this can still be annoying.
All together a great movie, though the first half does seem to drag a little bit and may leave young children restless, but a great second half overflowing with action is worth anyone’s money. This is a must see fun, action-filled, family adventure. A well deserving 8/10.

Good review, but surely there should be a mention of Edna the superheroes outfits expert, who is by far the funniest person in the whole movie! The whole cinema I was in errupted with laughter when she first appeared on screen!

I liked your review. It was very descriptive but is focused on the story and bit to heavily and didn't describe the special effects, music and other topics. But its still a good review.
