DVD Description
Marine iguana, giant tortoise, and other unique Galapagos Islands creatures made famous by Darwin's theories encounter actor Dreyfuss. This entry in the celebrity-meets-nature series offers more substance than other episodes, and Dreyfuss fits right into the company of scientists who serve as his guides--to the detriment of the show's celebrity appeal.
Advantages: One of the best Disadvantages: You wont go swiming for a while
...This is the best film I have ever seen and the film that made Steven Spielberg. Jaws made me jump from the very opening scene when the girl goes for a swim and makes that horrible noise when she gets bitten
Spielberg turned a good book into a breathtaking film with the help of great acting from Robert Shaw, RichardDreyfuss, and Roy Schieder. They have the job of tracking the down the shark.
There are several really memorable moments for me which include when RichardDreyfuss sees the shark for the first time and says I THINK WE NEED A BIGGER BOAT and also when Robert Shaw tells Dreyfuss and Schieder about the sinking of the submarine which leads onto a discussion of their various scars.
The musical score is still fresh in my mind as it was 25 years ago and is still one of the most recognized sound tracks in the world even today....

...Am surprise the DVD version of Jaws is Impressive. It has a great Widescreen Transfer 2.35:1 and Incredible Dolby Digital 5.1 Soundtrack. DVD has good extras:A 60 minutes documentary(Actually the 1995 Laserdisc Version was 2 Hours!), different kinds of traliers are more. But some of the Deleted Scenes are fun to watch and the another scenes are joyless. Too bad, there are not much of Outtakes. DVD could have used a isolated music score or audio commentary on anyone, who`s working on the film. That could have been a fun plus.
The film still holds up for twenty five years, a great looking shark in the movie. Great performances by Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw and RichardDreyfuss. The film has some mistakes near the last 10 minutes like the scene, where Dreyfuss is inside the cage and the shark is actually small(Some scenes, they used a real...

Advantages: Decent performances, Nick Nolte, Richard Dreyfuss Disadvantages: Dated and lacking focus
...Down and Out in Beverley Hills (1986) concerns a homeless man, Jerry (Nick Nolte), who has had enough of life on the streets. He strolls into the back yard of one of many huge wealthy homes and plunges himself into their pool in a suicide attempt. The owners David and Barbara Whitman (RichardDreyfuss and Bette Midler) pull him out and take care of him. In a strange series of events Jerry soon becomes one of the family, helping out all the family including their children with their personal difficulties.
The story itself has an unexpected history. Originally written as the play ‘Boude sauve des eaux’ by Rene Fauchois, about a tramp jumping in the river Seine and then being taken in by a kindly bookseller. Renowned French director Jean Renoir then made it into a film in 1932. Director Paul Mazursky (Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice), who...
