In The Hands of The Gods is the true story of five young British street kids as they go on a journey across the Americas to Argentina in the hope of meeting their hero, Diego Maradona.
The kids use their football freestyle skills to busk across countries where handouts don't come easy, impressing the crowds to survive.
It's a journey that tests the limits of their friendship, talent and guts as they fight to meet their lifelong hero.
Without a doubt you wont see any better footy skills, this side of Rio. Saw it in the cinema and loved it from beginning to end. Its more than just seeing some very talented individuals pulling off mind boggling tricks though. You really feel for all the characters and want them to succeed in meeting Maradonna. They are all from very different backgrounds and are forced to unite on this once in a lifetime journey not only around north and south america but also on their own personal journey of self discovery. A great examination of todays youth culture and how if given the chance dreams can come true.
Looking forward to seeing the deleted scenes to, imagine alot had to be cut out for cinema.
it is a very very good movie with brillait skills and a really good story line saying " Dreams can Come True"
