I was lucky enough to come across a very rare Lambretta,The Lambretta Vega.
This moped was such a radical design from the normal sleek Lambrettascooters notoriously famed by the 60's Mod movement.
Vega in Italian means brightest star & this formed part of there Luna range of models.
Lambretta produced 3 mopeds in the Luna range the Vega,Comet & the Lui(the small moon).
Completly space aged the Vega was across between a scooter & a moped (like the Puch Maxi from Mars!)
With leg sheilds like the scooters this 2 seater with high handle bars & square head light stands out a mile with the Italian designer Bertone work of art.(that still looks good today)
They came in 5 colours'red, lime green, orange, turquoise & yellow. The Vega has a 75cc 2 stroke engine which when running right should produce a top speed of around 50mph.

Advantages: Smart looking scooter. Sturdy and well made. My son loves his! Disadvantages: Secret fold out drawer and little alien figures are a little bit of a gimmick
includes nine Ben 10 monster figures. These are rather peculiar looking things that don't really bear that much resemblence to the actual aliens from the programme. They are tiny, squat little sumo representations of the aliens. My son was delighted on first opening the drawer and was able to work out who each figure was supposed to represent but he hasn't had a great deal of play value out of the figures themselves since then. The drawer itself seems quite sturdy and hard-wearing although I don't really see that it serves any ongoing useful purpose if you take the little alien figures out. (But then again, I'm not a five or six year old. My son takes great pleasure in showing off the scooter and its secret drawer and it always receives ...
Advantages: Fantastic music Disadvantages: Eventually, it stops...
I I think I found the lost chord. Many years ago, I got a copy of InSearch of the Lost Chord.
Did it change my life, for ever? Mmmm. Tough question. Because I think that the answer is, yes, it probably did.
The Moody Blues was yet another of those fantastically innovative and inventive groups that came out of Birmingham. In fact, I would go out on a limb and say that, from the point of innovative, interesting music the hierarchy would be: Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool. Can I prove this? Birmingham brought us The Moody blues, The Move, ELO, The Applejacks, The Fortunes, Mike Sheridan and The Nightriders, Roy Wood's Wizard, The Spencer Davis Group, Black Sabbath, Traffic, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, Band Of Joy and The Spencer Davis Group. And THAT's only those from the 1960s!
Whereas Manchester had Freddie ...
