I am writing a review on the DVDIce princess brought out in 2005.
This is a movie about a hard working science student Casey, who enjoys skating. She only ever skates around a lake near her house.
However, at school she was set an assignment in science which had to relate to her in someway.
The Plot
Casey decided that her science project would be the movement skills in skating, so she goes down to the local skating rink and starts filming.
She meets Tina Harwood an ex figure skater champion, who is coaching her daughter to be the same.
Casey then gains a keen interest in skating, and gets Tina to help her become a professional figure skater.
She begins training at the bottom with all this children and works her way up the ladder of skaters.
But will she make it? Or is Tina plotting against her so her daughter can win ...
Advantages: Full of fun and laughs! Disadvantages: Not long enough!

Advantages: a lovely film Disadvantages: not for the lads
'Ice Princess' is a Disney film aimed at girls from about the age of 8 onwards. Let's put it this way, it shouldn't really appeal to a 28 year old mother of 3. However, I love it! My sister lent me this film when it first came out on DVD in 2005 and I soon made sure that I had a copy of my own. I think my sister originally decided to give it a try because she's a huge 'Buffy' and 'Angel' fan and the star of this film, Michelle Trachenberg, started out playing Dawn in Buffy.
'Ice Princess' was directed by Tim Fywell and is the story of Cacey Carlyle, a science loving geek who is beginning her final year at high school and is hoping to be accepted to Harvard. Harvard is what Cacey and her Mum [played by Joan Cusack] have always dreamed of and what she has been working towards throughout school.
