Twenty thousand years ago, at the dawn of the ice age, three completely mismatched creatures have been brought together by a twist of fate. Sid, a fast-talking and comical sloth, Manfred, a moody woolly mammoth, and Diego, a sinister saber-toothed tiger reluctantly team up to help return a human baby to his father.
Before their incredible journey, this trio will confront boiling lava pits, escape treacherous ice tunnels and meet a prehistoric squirrel-rat named Scrat, who is frantically trying to bury his beloved acorn.
This is a great animated film, and laughed all the way through. This film will not stop until the end were it gets a bit emotional.
The DVD comes with – Scrats new adventure, directors commentaries, deleted scenes, Scrat reveals segments, Sid on Sid, design galleries, under the ice and the trailer.
I recommend this film for any age groups, as it’s very funny. The animation is very good, and the story of the baby and the group is good. I loved the part in when they lost the kid and then they started to slide down the ice until stopping at the wall of snow.
I would have to say the voices of the characters is very good, the mamoth would have to be the best voice and well picked for the film.
I would have liked to see a 2-disk version as well, but with the extrans that are on the 1 disk, I couldn't think of what else they could put on.
