Ice Age 2 - The Meltdown (Blu-Ray Disc) This bluray dvd retails at about £28 but shop around on the net and you can find it much cheaper i got min from Blahdvd £16.99 delivered.
As i have a bluray dvd player built in to my playstation 3 and a 40 inch sony LCD HD tv i decided to buy this for my two children affter seeing the High Definition trailer on my playstation
First of all the film is great just like the first one scrat the saber tooth squirrel keeps trying to get that acorn (the kids absolutly love watching this character he is hillarious) this film will be loved by kids and adults.
the plot :-With the Ice Age coming to an end, the animals delight in a new world of water slides. But when Manny, Sid and Diego discover an impedning meltdown of the glacier that threatens their valley, they must warn everyone in time to escape the coming flood. Manny the Mammoth (Ray Romano) insists that he is not the last of his kind, despite not having seen or heard of any other mammoths for quite some time, and that he is certainly not about to become extinct. when Ellie arrives her own issues. Because Ellie (Queen Latifah), a woolly mammoth, grew up with two wacky possum brothers, Crash and Eddie, she fervently maintains that she's a possum, too. She scampers about, hangs upside down from trees and plays possum Diego (Denis Leary) The distinctly rational saber-toothed tiger fears nothing - except water - which has nott been a problem in the current ice age. But when the meltdown begins breaking ice, Diego vainly hides his fear despite its debilitating effect on any ability to lead the evacuation.And finally theres poor, pathetic Sid (John Leguizamo) -- the loath who thinkth hes a great leader, The truth is that Sid is completely ineffective the only orders of his that are followed are those reiterated by Manny. Even so, Sid remains convinced that he's the backbone of the evacuation, the one that will get the valley dwellers rescued from annihilation.I wont spoil the ending so to see if they find saftey then buy the film....:-)
bluray discs are huge data storage so allow for loads of extras such as short films(scrat again) set top games,outtakes,sound effect lab plus many more
The 1080p Hd picture is awsome the detail in the characters is outstanding this type of movie is what HD was made for ...absolutly breathtaking... well worth the money will be loved by all

Nice info on Bluray but theres not enough about the actual film, it's plot, characters, cast etc...let me know if you add anything and i'll come and rate for you.
